The most important thing to remember is that all of us are SINNERS. There is not a righteous man or woman among us. The only hope for mankind is through Jesus Christ who died for all our sins and makes a way for us to live godly lives in a godless world.

 

The key to all our sinful desires and struggles is to understand that apart from God we can do nothing. We are powerless toward sin apart from the empowering of the Holy Spirit of God through Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

Who then can be saved Peter asked Jesus. His reply was that with man it is impossible but nothing is impossible for God. There are no man-made remedies for our fallen sin nature. There are no rituals or therapies we can utilize that will HEAL us from the affects of our sin nature. Oh yes we maybe able to delay the devastating results but we are powerless to cure the disease of sin, only through Christ can we find rest for our souls.

 

Now then only if you are willing to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior will you ever have any hope of ‘abundant life’. If you continue to resist the only hope of salvation then you are and will ever be dead in your trespasses and sin, there is no hope for you apart from a relationship with the hope giver Jesus Christ.

 

Always remember and never forget that God hates sin. Primarily because it causes great harm to those he loves. So if you do not hate sin as well then you hate God and you hate yourself because you are willing to let sin rule your life and by so doing allow yourself to be destroyed by that sin.

 

The bottom line is simple: We all need Jesus. Some will accept that truth many will reject that truth. Those who reject the truth will forever be bond by their desires for sin. Those who accept the truth will be given power from on high to resist the tempter. Will we ever be sinless? Not as long as we live in the flesh, but we can overcome the world through the power of the Gospel of Christ.

 

Choose you today which path you wish to travel. The road that leads to life and hope or the one that leads to your own demise.

Let me get right to the point. Our country is broke. It’s not broke in 75 years or 50 years or 25 years or 10 years. It’s broke today. Indeed, it may well be in worse fiscal shape than any development country, including Greece.

And that gap is growing by $5 trillion a year, not the paltry half trillion the CBO reports. He likens the national debt — the real national debt — to a gigantic federal credit card on which the government is making less than minimum payments every month: “If we fail to pay [even the interest on it], the fiscal gap will get larger.”

 

In 2003, the fiscal gap was $60 trillion, but today, thanks to profligate politicians concerned only about the next election, that gap has nearly quadrupled. Increases in social programs and, especially, the prescription drug expansion bill President George W. Bush signed into law in 2003, have accelerated the country’s fiscal gap to mind-numbing size.

According to a Center for Immigration Studies ( cis.org) report, about 1.4 million work permits went to aliens holding tourist or student visas or alien dependents of students and guest workers — all allowed to work only “in rare circumstances.”

 

More than 2.2 million went to aliens here illegally or otherwise “unqualified for admission.” Another 1.9 million went to aliens whose status — and identity — is unclear. And those work permits for illegal aliens and tourist-visa holders were in addition to those granted to illegals under the Temporary Protected Status and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals programs.

 

That means millions of aliens able to “legally” work in U.S. jobs, even while awaiting “green cards” or other legal status. And that even as other would-be immigrants following the rules await their turns in their home countries.

 

CIS says all this “inevitably reduces opportunities for U.S. workers, damages the integrity of the immigration system, and encourages illegal immigration.

Sometimes the truth is ugly, and goes against what we hold as sacred, but unless we face the truth honestly and with resolve problems that could otherwise be solved are only going to increase. Hiding our heads in the sand and pretending that problems do not exist does not make them go away.

 

There are plenty of problems in Ferguson and neither side is without blame. However the issues facing Ferguson are not unique to that community but are systemic across the US especially urban areas.

 

Our justice department is out of hand. When REVENUE is placed above justice and mercy abuses are bound to exist. The love of money is the root cause of all evil after all. Cities desperate to fund budget shortfalls turn to questionable practices in order to ‘encourage’ more ticket writing to increase revenue flows.

When municipal courts are in cahoots with the arresting police departments it is not hard to imagine abuses happening. A word to the wise then it is best to POLICE your own activities and do not allow yourself to be placed in a position that requires the intervention of police. If you do find yourself on the loosing end of a police action it is advisable and prudent to seek legal counsel.

 

There is enough corruption to go around, so take care of yourself and your loved ones. Make every attempt to live at peace with all men where ever possible. And if you find yourself wrongly accused do not take matters into your own hands. It is far better to suffer and injustice then to perpetrate one.
