Santa Faces New Challenges this year

You got to love this cartoon because it speaks volumes to what children learn from watching us adults each day. What are we teaching our children anyway?

It is no longer naughty or nice but who has the biggest sob story to tell to receive their Christmas gift. Corporate America has become like little children sitting on the knee of Congress giving Santa Barney their wish list.

I do not know about you but many things I asked Santa for in my young life I never received. Perhaps Santa Barney could learn to say no?

When one blogger did a search for inadequate the online thesaurus offered this output. On the bottom of the page was an ad for Obama. Perhaps Roget knows more than we do?

courtroomAn Iowa county judge has ruled that a nude dance by an underage girl at a strip club is an artistic expression protected by the First Amendment.
Strip clubs are illegal in the state of Iowa. But numerous such establishments operate under a loophole that allows nudity in theaters, museums, and other venues featuring works of art, dance, and theatrical performances.

Prosecutors only filed charges after learning that a 17-year-old girl, who had entered the club illegally, was allowed to strip for patrons. But the club’s owners claimed the “artistic nudity” loophole protected them and that they were not responsible for the actions of the child. The local judge agreed, but Trueman does not.

“That’s really stretching it. It was a bar. It was a minor child that got up, spontaneously, to do a nude dance. That is not protected,” he argues. “This is a tragic situation because a minor was involved.”

Another example of a society adrift. A 17 yr old girl strips in a BAR serving alcohol and judge finds nothing ‘illegal’ about this?

After reading this story I have to sit here and wonder what the heck happened to common sense and decency and to think there are actually people who do not see the harm this type of behavior has on our society.

This one certainly belongs in the Cuckoo’s nest.

Round, Black and Full of Air

I bet you thought I was going to say Obama right? Well actually in a way I am going to say Obama. But I am referring to his energy policy which this highly educated presidential hopeful feels is our best hope for our domestic oil production problem.

Thursday, July 30th presidential candidate Barak Obama said at a campaign rally in Springfield, MO:

“We could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling, if everybody was just inflating their tires and getting regular tune-ups. You could actually save just as much,”

Yep you guessed it. The next time you pull into your gas station and ask for a fill-up make sure you are talking about your tires and not your gas tank.

Mr Obama seems to feel that if we all inflate our tires and give our cars tune ups we can save as much gas as is in our own natural oil resources.

And to think he had to go to Harvard to come up with that one!

For this and other ridiculous comments we have officially declared Obama as one who flew over the cuckoo’s nest.
