The Real Story of Noah Dispels the Myth of Environmentalism

Romans 8:20-21 (NIV)
20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

Genesis 3:17 (HCSB)
17 And He said to Adam, “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you.

How do we save the planet?

By saving humankind from the curse of sin and death.  Not by environmentalism.

The entire creation was cursed by Adam’s sin and as such it can not be saved until the remnants of Adam’s sin is erased from the earth.  Jesus’s birth, death and resurrection set in place the foundation for this eventual redemption of the world, but it is not complete until everything has been made subject to Jesus Christ. This will happen when he returns to set up his kingdom. The continued laboring and sweating to produce a ‘good crop’ will continue until the earth is cleansed of all unrighteousness.

It is true that man is the reason the environment in which we live is a mess. It is sinful man who has subjected the earth to God’s curse, but it is not through environmentalism that this curse will be reversed but through the redemption of humanity. No amount of environmental efforts is able to reverse God’s curse, only by receiving God’s blessing can the curse be reversed, and that only comes through salvation in Christ.

You see had Adam and Eve not introduced sin into the world at the beginning, but lived their life in obedience to God, the earth would be the paradise that environmentalists are always dreaming of. But since the environmental movement does not take into account God’s saving grace through Jesus Christ, their remedies are worse than the cause. They believe that if you end humanity from the earth then all will be well.

That has been tried before and yet the problems still persist.

Genesis 6:5-7 (GW)
5 The LORD saw how evil humans had become on the earth. All day long their deepest thoughts were nothing but evil.
6 The LORD was sorry that he had made humans on the earth, and he was heartbroken.
7 So he said, “I will wipe off the face of the earth these humans that I created. I will wipe out not only humans, but also domestic animals, crawling animals, and birds. I’m sorry that I made them.”

God who created the whole of creation looked down upon the earth and saw nothing but corruption. He saw how evil humankind had become. He saw how mortals were constantly plotting evil intentions in their hearts. And God planned to cleanse the earth of the entire human population, to end the lives of all that He created. After all He was the creator and he could do what he wanted with that creation.

I am afraid that many today see God as this evil tyrant who is only looking for a reason to wipe us all out. And if we are not careful to fully understand the true story of Noah then we too could come away with the same picture of God. To be fair if God really wanted to end humankind all he had to do was prevent Adam and Eve from procreation and it all would have ended before it began, but that was not his overall plan, which we will see as we continue to look at the true story of Noah.

In the latest movie adaption of the Noah story there are several huge problems. For one, its characterization of Noah is very troubling. In this movie, Noah is willing to murder three men to try to save the life of an animal that had been severely wounded. To this Hollywood Noah, animal life was far more important than human life. He didn’t really try to save the life of a young woman whom Ham tried to save. Moreover, if Noah’s daughter-in-law gave birth to a girl, Noah said, “From the moment of her birth I will cut her down.” Throughout the second half of the film, Noah is obsessed with making sure all of humanity is wiped out so that the “innocents” (read: animals) can live peacefully in a new post-flood Eden. This I am afraid is the position of many environmentalists who see HUMANS as a plight on the earth and animals as innocent victims of civilization. However when God created the earth he said that there was no one to tend to it and thus he created man to tend to the earth and take charge of it. The earth was created for man and man was not created for planet earth.

Genesis 2:4-8 (GW)
4 This is the account of heaven and earth when they were created, at the time when the LORD God made earth and heaven.
5 Wild bushes and plants were not on the earth yet because the LORD God hadn’t sent rain on the earth. Also, there was no one to farm the land.
6 Instead, underground water would come up from the earth and water the entire surface of the ground.
7 Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the earth and blew the breath of life into his nostrils. The man became a living being.
8 The LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east. That’s where he put the man whom he had formed.

Genesis 2:15 (GW)
15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to farm the land and to take care of it.

As previously stated the entire creation has become subject to a curse because of Adam’s sin but at the same time humans are also under that same curse. Therefore to be exact the entire creation has become corrupted by the first sin of Adam. Therefore none is innocent. However that is not exactly how God saw things.

Genesis 6:9 states that Noah “was a just man, perfect in his generation. Noah walked with God.” He was faithful to do everything God had commanded him to do (Genesis 6:22). God said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation” (Genesis 7:1). In the book of Ezekiel, Noah is identified as a righteous man and is placed in the same context as Job and Daniel (Ezekiel 14:14, 20). Peter called Noah a “preacher of righteousness” (2 Peter 2:5). Noah also appears in the “Faith Hall of Fame” chapter—Hebrews 11:7 states, “By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

You see despite all the evil that was taking place upon the earth there was goodness represented by Noah. God called him righteous in his generation. Would God call you righteous in our generation? Could it be said of you that you were faithful to do everything God had commanded you to do?

I thought it was important to note that scripture records the birth of Noah and states that his name meant relief.

Genesis 5:28-29 (GW)
28 When Lamech was 182 years old, he became the father of a son.
29 He named him Noah [Relief], and said, “This child will bring us relief from the work and painful labor of our hands since the LORD has cursed the ground.”

The people of that time knew that the earth was cursed and believed  that relief would come one day. When Noah was born he was  given the name which in Hebrew meant relief with hope that Noah would bring relief to all this toilsome labor. In a way relief did come through Noah but not exactly like we might think.

Genesis 7:1-4 (GW)
1 The LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ship with your whole family because I have seen that you alone are righteous among the people of today.
2 Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal (a male and a female of each) and one pair of every kind of unclean animal (a male and a female).
3 Also, take seven pairs of every kind of bird (a male and a female of each) to preserve animal life all over the earth after the flood.
4 In seven days I will send rain to the earth for 40 days and 40 nights. I will wipe off the face of the earth every living creature that I have made.”

God set out to wipe the earth clean of every living thing, animals included, with the exception of those Noah took with him on the ark. The ark was the only place of safety to be found, and had God not told Noah to build it there would have been no hope for anyone or anything. You see God was not without mercy. He was not going to completely annihilate all that he created, he had a plan of escape from his wrath, the only thing Noah had to do was listen and obey, which is exactly what he did.

You notice the animals came to Noah for safety and he took them in. There is no mention of other people coming to Noah to be saved.

Genesis 7:6-10 (GW)
6 Noah was 600 years old when the flood came to the earth.
7 Noah, his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives went into the ship to escape the floodwaters.
8 Clean and unclean animals, birds, and creatures that crawl on the ground
9 came to Noah to go into the ship in pairs (a male and female of each) as God had commanded Noah.

10 Seven days later the flood came on the earth.

Genesis 7:15-16 (GW)
15 A pair of every living, breathing animal came to Noah to go into the ship.
16 A male and a female of every animal went in as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD closed the door behind them.

God shut the door and did not allow anyone or anything else on board. The time had come. Judgment day had arrived.

Noah spent a great deal of time building this huge boat, in front of his countrymen, in plain sight, and yet only Noah and his family actually got on the boat. It had not rained prior to this and where Noah was building his boat there was no body of water so it made no sense to build this huge boat in the middle of dry land. The people of Noah’s day were oblivious to what was going on around them because they have come to believe that they were in control of their own destinies and did not have the fear of the Lord within their hearts. They had no knowledge of God’s righteousness or wrath. They had grown cold toward the things of God, that is all but Noah who God said was the only one righteous in his entire generation. Scripture gives us a deeper understanding of what happened in those days when we read:

Matthew 24:36-39 (GW)
36 “No one knows when that day or hour will come. Even the angels in heaven and the Son don’t know. Only the Father knows.
37 “When the Son of Man comes again, it will be exactly like the days of Noah.
38 In the days before the flood, people were eating, drinking, and getting married until the day that Noah went into the ship.
39 They were not aware of what was happening until the flood came and swept all of them away. That is how it will be when the Son of Man comes again.

You see there is coming another judgment day from God and as in times past many will be unaware of their own impending doom. Oh there will not be a world-wide flood but there is a coming judgment. Will you be ready? Will you be found righteous and worthy to escape God’s wrath? Have you boarded the ark of salvation prepared for you by God through Jesus Christ?

1 Peter 3:18-22 (GW)
18 This is true because Christ suffered for our sins once. He was an innocent person, but he suffered for guilty people so that he could bring you to God. His body was put to death, but he was brought to life through his spirit.
19 In it he also went to proclaim his victory to the spirits kept in prison.
20 They are like those who disobeyed long ago in the days of Noah when God waited patiently while Noah built the ship. In this ship a few people—eight in all—were saved by water.
21 Baptism, which is like that water, now saves you. Baptism doesn’t save by removing dirt from the body. Rather, baptism is a request to God for a clear conscience. It saves you through Jesus Christ, who came back from death to life.
22 Christ has gone to heaven where he has the highest place that God gives. Angels, rulers, and powers have been placed under his authority.

But just as in Noah’s day there will be many who will not believe and even scoff at the very notion that there is a righteous God ready to mete out justice for all who live ungodly lives. In fact they will not only scoff at but actually promote godlessness through their actions and teach others to do the same. They will actually rejoice in their ungodliness as if to show that there is no God and they can do what they please. Basically history repeating itself.

2 Peter 2:1-10 (GW)
1 False prophets were among God’s people {in the past}, as false teachers will be among you. They will secretly bring in their own destructive teachings. They will deny the Lord, who has bought them, and they will bring themselves swift destruction.
2 Many people will follow them in their sexual freedom and will cause others to dishonor the way of truth.
3 In their greed they will use good-sounding arguments to exploit you. The verdict against them from long ago is still in force, and their destruction is not asleep.
4 God didn’t spare angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, where he has secured them with chains of darkness and is holding them for judgment.
5  God didn’t spare the ancient world either. He brought the flood on the world of ungodly people, but he protected Noah and seven other people. Noah was his messenger who told people about the kind of life that has God’s approval.
6 God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and destroyed them by burning them to ashes. He made those cities an example to ungodly people of what is going to happen to them.
7 Yet, God rescued Lot, a man who had his approval. Lot was distressed by the lifestyle of people who had no principles and lived in sexual freedom.
8 Although he was a man who had God’s approval, he lived among the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Each day was like torture to him as he saw and heard the immoral things that people did.
9 Since the Lord did all this, he knows how to rescue godly people when they are tested. He also knows how to hold immoral people for punishment on the day of judgment.
10 This is especially true of those who follow their corrupt nature along the path of impure desires and who despise the Lord’s authority. These false teachers are bold and arrogant. They aren’t afraid to insult the {Lord’s} glory.

2 Peter 2:13-19 (GW)
13 These false teachers are stains and blemishes. They take pleasure in holding wild parties in broad daylight. They especially enjoy deceiving you while they eat with you.
14 They’re always looking for an adulterous woman. They can’t stop looking for sin as they seduce people who aren’t sure of what they believe. Their minds are focused on their greed. They are cursed.
15 These false teachers have left the straight path and wandered off to follow the path of Balaam, son of Beor. Balaam loved what his wrongdoing earned him.
16 But he was convicted for his evil. A donkey, which normally can’t talk, spoke with a human voice and wouldn’t allow the prophet to continue his insanity.
17 These false teachers are dried-up springs. They are a mist blown around by a storm. Gloomy darkness has been kept for them.
18  They arrogantly use nonsense to seduce people by appealing to their sexual desires, especially to sexual freedom. They seduce people who have just escaped from those who live in error.
19  They promise these people freedom, but they themselves are slaves to corruption. A person is a slave to whatever he gives in to.

2 Peter 3:3-7 (GW)
3 First, you must understand this: In the last days people who follow their own desires will appear. These disrespectful people will ridicule {God’s promise}
4 by saying, “What’s happened to his promise to return? Ever since our ancestors died, everything continues as it did from the beginning of the world.”
5  They are deliberately ignoring one fact: Because of God’s word, heaven and earth existed a long time ago. The earth {appeared} out of water and was kept alive by water.
6 Water also flooded and destroyed that world.
7 By God’s word, the present heaven and earth are designated to be burned. They are being kept until the day ungodly people will be judged and destroyed.

2 Peter 3:10-13 (GW)
10 The day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day heaven will pass away with a roaring sound. Everything that makes up the universe will burn and be destroyed. The earth and everything that people have done on it will be exposed.
11 All these things will be destroyed in this way. So think of the kind of holy and godly lives you must live
12 as you look forward to the day of God and eagerly wait for it to come. When that day comes, heaven will be on fire and will be destroyed. Everything that makes up the universe will burn and melt.
13 But we look forward to what God has promised—a new heaven and a new earth—a place where everything that has God’s approval lives.

You see the real story of Noah is not just about a flood and a big boat, but about righteousness and judgment. There is a God who created all this and who has a stake in how it all turns out. This same God formed the world by his say so and is the same God who flooded the earth at his command. This same God could have completely wiped out the entire course of humanity but instead chose to safe a few souls, that is 8 in all along with every living creature that lived upon the earth. He showed mercy in the midst of great destruction. He showed compassion while witnessing constant evil taking place on the earth he created, by people created in his reputation.

God takes no delight in the punishment of the wicked, he would rather they all would come to him for salvation. He would prefer if everyone gets on board the ark of safety to avoid the coming judgment. But being God he knows not all will come to him to be saved, in fact many more will reject his offer and continue to live according to what their earthly desires dictate.

The story of Noah should be a somber warning to all those who think God does not care about what happens here on earth. To those who think he is an absentee landowner need to think again because there is coming another flood of judgment and only those who are safely on board the ark will be saved. Are you on board? Or are you like many others poking fun at the Noah’s of today who are building arks of safety for their families while all around them are people busy doing their own thing totally unaware of an all-seeing God keeping watch over his creation? It is not too late to get on board, but one day it will be too late for the door will be closed. How long do you think you can tread water?

Jars of Clay Frontman Comes Out in Support of Homosexual ‘Marriage’

See on Scoop.itEagle Views

Dan Haseltine

In a series of assertive Tweets, Dan Haseltine of the popular band Jars of Clay took to his Twitter account and came out in support of homosexual ‘marriage,’ …

I succeed that Dan Haseltine has the right, in this country, to free speech. He also has the right to tweet his views and opinions on any topic he desires. Knowing that same-sex marriage is a ‘hot topic’ issue and one that is bound to spark deep emotional response both for and against, one has to wonder why Dan decided to open this can of worms in the first place. Was he trying to garner some publicity for his band, knowing that any press is good press, or was he seriously seeking to understand the whole issue?

From his own tweets it would seem Dan has made up his mind on the issue and is not really seeking to garner understanding from those who are opposed to same-sex marriage. He even tweets that he really does not care what the bible says about it.

I quote:

“I don’t particularly care about Scriptures stance on what is ‘wrong,’” he stated. “I care more about how it says we should treat people.”

Perhaps this is where we all run into trouble when dealing with scripture. Instead of looking at scripture from God’s viewpoint and how He feels about an issue and why, we look at it purely from a personal viewpoint and how it makes us feel and how we wish to be treated by others, whether it is right or wrong is not up for discussion. We feel that what we want and how we feel about any given issue should be respected and honored by others and they have no right to tell us how we ought to live.

Okay if that is your position, then please do not quote the bible or even reference the sacred text, since you really do not care what it has to say anyway. Scripture is not open for private interpretation, it is a spiritual guide-book, and as such requires spiritual insight into its meaning  and application. This is why so many have misapplied scripture and have misrepresented Christ in the process, because they have wanted to use the scripture to support their viewpoint and not adjusting their viewpoints to reflect scripture.

For example let us take just one commandment:

Thou shall not commit adultery. And yet many Christians do just that. They do not see anything wrong with their behavior and do not wish for anyone to tell them that what they are doing is wrong, and yet the bible is unambiguous about the issue.

And on the issue of marriage that is pretty clear as well, a man shall leave his father and mother (note it does not say father and father or mother and mother) and cling to his wife, the two shall become one flesh. Okay now we could argue what is meant by the word WIFE but it is clear what MAN is, unless of course you are confused about your gender.

Jesus addressed this issue as well and I cite the verse in context:

Matthew 19:4-9 (GW)
4  Jesus answered, “Haven’t you read that the Creator made them male and female in the beginning
5  and that he said, ‘That’s why a man will leave his father and mother and will remain united with his wife, and the two will be one’?
6  So they are no longer two but one. Therefore, don’t let anyone separate what God has joined together.”
7  The Pharisees asked him, “Why, then, did Moses order a man to give his wife a written notice to divorce her?”
8  Jesus answered them, “Moses allowed you to divorce your wives because you’re heartless. It was never this way in the beginning.
9  I can guarantee that whoever divorces his wife for any reason other than her unfaithfulness is committing adultery if he marries another woman.”

Jesus was being asked about divorce by the Pharisees, who were the religious leaders of the day. These men were supposed to be teachers of the law and they needed to be taught themselves.

You see folks the Christian community has a great deal of problems in regards to marriage, and same-sex marriage is just one of the many symptoms of a godless societal trajectory. There is a great deal of divorce and remarrying going on within the Christian community which Jesus said was committing adultery, and yet strangely nary a peep can be heard from Christian leaders on this issue of marriage.

So then if we are going to ignore adultery then we might as well ignore all other sexual sins as well and let everyone do as they please when it comes to sexual matters. After all what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes is none of our business right?  Oh wait you are making it our business by bringing your bedrooms out into the street where everyone must witness your conduct. If you do not wish to be judged by your conduct then I suggest you do not display your conduct before the entire population, but if you choose to make a public display of your conduct then you should expect a public outcry concerning that conduct, do not be surprised then if not everyone finds your conduct acceptable. Some may, some may not, but regardless of whether you have majority support if your conduct does not meet with God’s approval then in the end it will be a worthless pursuit, ending in unspeakable torment and misery.

So to Dan and others who wish to pursue this topic be assured that not everyone is going to agree with any position you take on the matter, and you should not be offended when someone takes issue with your position. Be ready to suffer the consequences, but I will ask you this one question:

Mark 8:36 (GW)
36  What good does it do for people to win the whole world (gain popular opinions, gain world renown) yet lose their lives?

Jesus concludes by saying, hey if you are ashamed of what my word says and teaches in this wicked world then he will have no problem being ashamed of you when it comes time to choose whom he will spend eternity with.

In other words it is okay if you do not want to follow Jesus and his teachings, and since you do not want anything to do with Jesus here and now, you will not be upset when he wants nothing to do with you in the here after right?

Mark 8:38 (GW)
38  If people are ashamed of me and what I say in this unfaithful and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of those people when he comes with the holy angels in his Father’s glory.”

So whether the entire world approves of your conduct does not really matter in the end. The one who gets the last word is Jesus and since you really do not care what he has to say, then I guess go ahead and do what you want because in the end you will have an entire life to live without Jesus. Isn’t that really what you want anyway?

Go ahead and do it your way but be aware that your way does have consequences both here and hereafter.

And that is the way I see it. What say you?

The 16th Amendment as originally proposed did not tax earned income.

See on Scoop.itEagle Views

The 16th Amendment was sold to the American public as a way to make the rich pay their “fair share.” That law, which was billed as a “soak the rich” scheme, instead now threatens to drown us.

Well today is the last day to fulfill our obligations to the government under the 16th amendment to the Constitution. Every year the taxman comes around to collect their share of our labor to indulge in the reckless pursuits. It wasn’t always like this in America. In fact up until 1913 there was no income tax.

The current tax code is four million words long, and more than four times longer than the collected works of Shakespeare. It requires 25 volumes to contain it and takes up 9 feet of shelf space.

And it was sold to the American people as a way to “make the rich pay their fair share.” Sound familiar?

The current tax code is now four million words long, more than four times longer than the collected works of Shakespeare, and six to seven times longer than the Bible. It requires 25 volumes to contain it, and takes up nine feet of shelf space.

According to Forbes, it takes Americans over six billion hours to comply with its filing requirements. That’s the equivalent of 8,758 lifetimes – in people years, not dog years.

Making the rich pay their fair share has been the governments unending song from the beginning of taxation. They never have enough and the rich they think always has too much, the problem is they lied then and they are lying now. Let’s face it folks the government wants all your money, and they will never stop trying to figure out ways to get it, and hopefully they will even convince you to turn it over voluntarily.

Obamacare is one BIG TAX. The intent of the entire law was never about providing meaningful health care reform but to snowball you into agreeing to give them more of your hard-earned income in hopes of receiving some promised benefit. There is only one problem with this, the government lies all the time when it comes to separating you from your money. They sell you on the idea that the program they are proposing is FOR YOUR GOOD when they have designs on confiscating more of your personal belongings through taxation.

Prior to the passage of the 16th Amendment, almost the sole source of income to the federal government came from tariffs collected on imported goods. That itself was a profound limitation on the size and reach of the federal government. In 1910 the budget for the entire federal government was $1.042 billion.

Then just like today ordinary citizens figured out that the increased cost of goods fell upon the consumer while the corporations would pad their profit margins by raising domestic prices to just slightly less than the foreign imports prices, thus remaining competitive but at the same time generating a higher profit margin.

So the proposed cure is now worse than the original disease if in fact there ever really was a problem to begin with. Being competitive in a world market has always been sound business practices, and no amount of government intervention is ever going to change that dynamic. Businesses will sell their product to the highest paying consumer base or work in the most cost effect market possible to stay in business.

We have been sold a bill of goods and the average American citizen has swallowed this poison pill of covetousness to her own destruction. Politicians will continue to pit the rich against the poor and continue to cry injustice and how they are the ones to see to it that the rich pays their fair share all the while you and I are footing the bill as the fat cats continue to get fatter.

The marketplace is a wonderful thing if left alone to contend with competition. But once competition is eliminated or the federal government comes along picking winners and losers, it is you the American citizen who always comes up with the short straw.

Proverbs 6:6-8 (BBE)
6  Go to the ant, you hater of work; give thought to her ways and be wise: 7  Having no chief, overseer, or ruler, 8  She gets her meat in the summer, storing up food at the time of the grain-cutting.

Even nature teaches us that natural laws are at work in the universe and those who try to manipulate, or violate these natural laws do so at great personal cost. It would seem that ants are far wiser than the American culture because even the ant knows that there is a time of plenty and a time of want and during the time of plenty one must lay aside a part for the lean times that are sure to come.

Cover of A Bug’s Life [Blu-ray]

In 1998 Pixar produced the animated movie “A Bug’s Life” and the protagonists where grasshoppers who’d show up once a year at the ant colony to get their annual food offering so they would not have to work to produce their own food. One year they  arrived and the offering was accidentally spilled into the water and ruined. The grasshoppers did not forgive the ants required offering but instead gave them until the fall harvest to produce twice as much.

The colony is now in trouble, as there isn’t enough food to fulfill the grasshopper’s request and give sustenance for the colony. When the grasshoppers return to discover a meager offering, they take control of the entire colony and begin eating the ants’ winter store of food, and plot to kill the queen.

Their plot is foiled when the ants fight back.

When they all stood together and worked together they were able to overcome the oppressor and turn back the tide of tyranny.

You see the ruling class understands the power of the citizenry and fears it and it is for that reason the ruling powers continue to put wedges between groups to get them fighting with each other and not standing together uniformly to fight the real enemy.

The ant colony knew that by all of them working together the entire colony would thrive, but once dissension was sown into the fabric of their colony, destruction would follow soon after.

The grasshoppers would never stop coming to collect their tax, and each year the burden would get larger and would never end unless resisted in solidarity.

Personally I would like to see the 16th amendment nullified and the IRS eliminated. Is anyone willing to stand with me?

And that is the way I see it. What say you?

Sacrificing the Children

Leviticus 20:4-5 (AMP)
4 And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from the man when he gives one of his children [as a burnt offering] to Molech [the fire god] and they overlook it or neglect to take legal action to punish him, winking at his sin, and do not kill him [as My law requires],
5 Then I will set My face against that man and against his family and will cut him off from among their people, him and all who follow him to [unfaithfulness to Me, and thus] play the harlot after Molech.

A shocking report from England today is provoking alarm and outrage worldwide. The report indicates the remains of as many as 15,000 aborted babies were incinerated by British hospital as a heating source.

burningwasteWhile the pro-abortion movement frequently condemns pro-life advocates who draw comparisons between abortion and the Holocaust, the report of babies burned to heat UK hospitals is a shocking reminder of the callous way human life was treated by the Nazi regime. According to the report in the London Telegraph newspaper, the aborted babies were incinerated as “clinical waste” in “waste to energy” plans at British hospitals.

The hospitals, funded by the British government’s NHs health care program, admitting burning the babies’ bodies along with legitimate medical waste and trash. The Department of Health has reportedly issued a ban on the practice, prohibiting the hospitals from exploiting the bodies of babies victimized by abortion any further.

The 15,000 babies whose bodies became fuel for heating hospitals were incinerated at 27 various hospitals and clinics across the U.K. and the parents were not consulted about burning the babies.

Of course I have to pause for just a second and ask myself if the parents actually cared what happened to the baby? I mean many of them were at the hospital to kill the child in the first place, and I guess no one ever stopped to think about what would actually happen to that dead child. I wonder if they actually thought it though that far or if they were more concerned with ending the life of the child because he/she was inconvenient?

There is simply no justification for the horrors of the abortion industry. Thousands of unborn children are eliminated daily, and the majority are offered up as a result of the selfishness and immorality of their parents. After all abortion is being sold as birth control. Yep a good way to control a birth is to kill the baby. Of course the biblical way to avoid giving birth is to not have sex but that is way too much to ask in our selfish, over-sexed society isn’t it?

No abortion is justifiable, but late-term abortions are especially abhorrent–in which a child who could survive, and who feels pain is dismembered, his skull crushed and is scraped from the womb–and we are not ashamed. We calmly abort children simply because they are the “wrong gender.” Indeed, we celebrate abortion. Our “Christian” leaders call it a “blessing.”

Of course we do not offer them to Molech literally, but we should stop and ask ourselves what Molech represents. The ancient gods were offered human sacrifice as an act of appeasement. It was a deal. We give you our children and you give us the “P” words: Protection, Prosperity and Power.

Isn’t it interesting that all religious cult worship involves the sacrifice of something to appease the gods and yet the only religion that does not require this is Christianity and it is the Christians who are called barbaric and evil.

The reason the God of Christianity does not require a sacrifice is because he became the sacrifice for us. God himself passed through the fire so that no other sacrifice is required.

Give careful thought to your ways because one day you will have to give an account of everything you have done.

Now that is how I see it! What say you?

Tail Feathers: A quick look at the news

First the good news: According to Newsmax John McCain has said he will not seek the Republican nomination for president again. Did I miss something? Has anyone asked Johnny boy to run again? If I recall correctly there were not too many enamored with his first go around. So who is it exactly that wants John McCain to run for President again? ANYONE? Raise your hand if you want Ol’ Johnny to run for President….

McCain: I Won’t Run for President Again

Arizona Sen. John McCain says he will not seek the Republican nomination for president again. “Oh, I’m too . . . I’m afraid it’s not a viable option,” McCain, 77, said Monday on Fox Business Network‘s “Cavuto.” He is, however, “seriously considering” another run for his Senate seat, which he’s held since 1987.

 Newsmax

Now for the bad news John is thinking about running for the Senate again. How about we all throw you a nice retirement party instead? I’ll bring the cupcakes.

From the DO AS I SAY but not as I do department:

Senator: CIA Inappropriately Perused Documents on Secure Computer Network

In an effort to promote transparency and accountability, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) provided “secure” computers to congressional staffers on the Senate Intelligence Committee to investigate the agency’s detention and interrogation program established in the post-9/11 era.  Townhall

You see folks it is only okay for the government to spy on you, we are never allowed to take a peek to see what these folks are up to. So what is good for the goose is not good for the gander apparently.

Remember how Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was vilified from his budget proposals? Well guess what they actually worked.

Surplus: Wisconsin Legislature Passes Walker Tax Cuts Package

Why, it’s almost as if responsible, conservative governance works: Wisconsin will sell $294.8 million in general-obligation refunding bonds this week in a negotiated sale as the state projects a budget surplus of almost $1 billion. Surging tax revenue is driving improved fiscal performance in Wisconsin, with a population of 5.7 million.

The democrats where up in arms I believe not so much that they thought the plans would fail but that they knew they would actually work and this is what they were terrified of. Once the people realized that taxing and spending, and big labor union contracts was damaging to their economic futures Wisconsin’s would abandon the labor unions and the democrat party policies. And they were right about that.

From the “while you were sleeping department”

While most of us where sleeping or otherwise engaged in meaningful pursuits, a number of democrats took to the floor of the house to talk about ‘Climate Change”. They are so desperate to get the country to believe in this fallacy that they thought an all-night gabfest would bolster their position.

With real climate change legislation all but dead in Congress, the senators involved in Monday’s climate-fest just want to get to a point where lawmakers can agree that climate change is a scientific fact.

Senate Dem’s stage climate all-nighter | TheHill

2 days ago … Senate Democrats want lawmakers to agree that climate change is a scientific fact. … will be among those participating in the talk-a-thon on the Senate … senators signed up for the all-night climate-fest, but Democrats hope to …

Well you have to admire their tenacity to insist that the globe is warming while most of the United States has been in the deep freeze since the start of the year. Not to be deterred however, these brave souls soldiered on to persuade America that the SCIENCE is settled, Climate Change is for real.
But when it comes to REAL SCIENCE, federal agencies are not above fudging the numbers a bit to [prove their points] even going so far as to making stuff up to further their agendas.
The last story for this week is federal bureaucrats could bring the U.S. Energy boom to a screeching halt by using 2 chickens the Sage Grouse and the Prairie Chicken.

Federal officials often use flawed or falsified results to support decisions to expand the endangered species list, according to a recently published congressional working group report.

“Many reports and studies used to justify ESA decisions have been found to have mathematical errors, missing data, errors of omission, biased sampling, undocumented methods, simulated data in place of more accurate empirical data, discrepancies between reported results and data, inaccurate mapping, selective use of data, subjective interpretation of results, fabricated data substituted for missing data, and even no data at all,” the Washington Examiner reported in a Feb. 3 news story.

So how does two species of chickens halt the energy boom? Because inclusion of two of the species involved — the Sage Grouse and Prairie Chicken, both found predominantly in western states, including Texas and the Dakotas — could halt the U.S. energy boom in its tracks.

Why? Because putting the birds on the endangered species list empowers federal bureaucrats to limit use of millions of acres of privately owned lands, thus effectively taking them out of energy exploration and development. In other words the feds come and take control of private property.
Tell me again how BIG GOVERNMENT is for the “working man?”

There you have it folks this week’s edition of Tail Feathers, a quick take of news that caught the eagle eye. Until next time. Safe journeys.
