Shock, outrage, dismay, where common among those who heard of the late-term abortion of Dr. Tiller. 67 year old Tiller has been among only a few U.S. physicians performing late-term abortions. A late term abortion is the practice of ending the life of an unborn child that might otherwise be viable (able to live outside the womb). One of the procedures used to end the life of a child is to dismember the child in the mother’s womb.

Although he was warned of possible retaliatory action Dr. Tiller never slowed his practice. Tiller’s clinic was bombed in ’85 and he was shot in both arms in ’93 but did Dr Tiller would not be persuaded. Of course to be fair to Dr Tiller, he would not have a practice if there was no clientèle.  Had there been no need for his services he would not have been in business providing that service.

At 10:03 AM Sunday May 31st Tiller’s life was ended by a vigilante late-term abortionist. Dr. Tiller’s life came to a tragic end although he had lived 67 more years then any of his victims.

Dr. Tiller was murdered but yet those young lives he helped snuff out were aborted. Is there really a difference? He who lives by the sword shall die by that same sword. Whatever you allow will be allowed, whatever you permit will be permitted. Whatever you sow you shall reap that which you have sown. Whatever you want done to you do to others and you shall have it your way. Had Dr Tiller not aborted young lives perhaps his would not have been aborted.

This is not to justify the taking of any life, but to illustrate the obvious double standard.

Any death is tragic but the willful taking of a child’s life is deplorable.

Tiller’s funeral is to be held Saturday at College Hill United Methodist Church in Wichita. Why not just toss him in a nearby trash can like all the others who were late-term aborted. After all he is just medical waste. That is how they label the aborted child.
