America’s Next Civil War? Immigration Control

This one could get ugly. It is way past time to get serious about the infestation of illegal activity in our country. If this was an infestation of locusts, or some communicable disease would the same lackadaisical attitude prevail in stopping the onslaught? The flood of illegals across our southern border is a communicable disease which infests the communities infiltrated. The only cure is eradication and prevention. This cancer if left unchecked will destroy our national sovereignty.

America is now engaged in a second Civil War.  Rather than guns and cannons facing off across blood soaked fields, it’s state and federal lawyers firing legal briefs in efforts to prevail.  The battle lines are clearly drawn, whether it’s enforcement of immigration laws, the enforcement of election laws or mandating that every American must purchase health insurance, there is indeed a plan to fundamentally change America.  The consequences of this plan are quite possibly more far-reaching than those of the first Civil War.

“This land is your land, this land is my land.” That’s right US Taxpayers Own It

What section of the Constitution permits the Federal Government to be LANDLORD? Could someone share that information with me please? Thank you.

America's 'Landed Bureaucracy'

Obama’s bureaucrats claim they want to protect prairie chickens and sand dune lizards, but this proposed land grab is really another salvo in the administration’s war on private property rights and domestic energy production. In fact, a secret Department of Interior memo leaked a year ago proposes seizing properties that are “currently under the threat of oil and gas development.”

In other words, the government wants to take land that the private sector wants to use to create jobs and lower energy costs — two goals that are clearly not on Obama’s agenda.

“Considering the size of the federal government’s existing real estate portfolio, there is no need to continue unilaterally acquiring new lands without any regard to state’s rights or economies,” U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx recently noted.

Foxx is absolutely correct. The federal government currently owns 1.2 million properties and 650 million acres of land — or 30 percent of the total land area of the United States. Another ten percent of the nation’s total land area — roughly 220 million acres — is owned by state or local governments. That’s almost three acres of government-owned land for every man, woman and child in America.

If American politicians wish to be taken seriously when they talk about creating jobs, reducing our nation’s dependence on foreign oil and getting government out of the way of the private sector — then there is no better place to start than the 40 percent of our nation that’s directly owned by the government.

Straining at Gnats Only to Swallow Camels

You blind guides, filtering out a gnat and gulping down a camel! Matthew 23:24 (AMP)

While congress squabbles over nickels and dimes the federal government hemorrhages billions of dollars a day. While we are forced to endure yet another debt-ceiling proposal the majority of the federal government continues to operate on auto-pilot. Federal programs continue to implement new regulations in the order of thousands a year. Thousands of pages of new federal guidelines continue to spew out of the multitude of bureaus and departments in the bowels of the federal government. As we are reduced to swatting at gnats by arguing over nickels and dimes in discretionary spending the federal entitlement programs continue to balloon out of control.

With deficits running over a trillion dollars, the latest budget cut proposals are ridiculous. Congress boasts about killing gnats while the American people are forced to swallow one federal camel after another.

Why should the American people continue to pony up for reckless federal spending? We have no say in how this money is spent, who is hired or fired, whether anyone should get a raise or not, which projects should or should not be funded but every year the federal government gets bigger and spends more money then the year before and "we the people" have to dig deeper to pay for it all. When we do say "no" we are called extremists or racists or other derogatory terms.

I for one have lost all patience and tolerance for politicians who continue to tell me that there is nowhere in the federal government they can cut. They have no problem cutting my pay by taking more of my hard-earned money through taxation or regulation. We the people have to keep doing without so that the federal government can continue to run full-speed ahead with all systems go. Does that make sense to anyone?

The American economy is being squeezed to death and the golden goose is being smothered by this huge leviathan of a federal government, and yet one politician after another spouts off that a measly 1-2% decrease in Federal spending is draconian. Give me a break! Until 20% of the federal work force is laid off and collecting unemployment like the rest of America there is plenty that can be cut from the fed’s coffers.

Start with a 20% reduction in all departments across the board. Eliminate the EPA, HHS, HLS, all the unconfirmed Tsars, and make public sector unions illegal. After you have done all that then come back to me and tell me there is nothing left to cut and I am sure by then I will come up with even more ideas and places you can cut before you ask me for one thin dime more. I have had enough of this spend-thrift congress!

At a time like this we need men of character and courage not men of cowardice and compromise. We need men like Milton Friedman , Adam Smith, William Bennett, Barry Goldwater and yes I am going to say it Ronald Reagan . As I close this rant let me leave you with the words of President Reagan:

"We don’t have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven’t taxed enough; we have a trillion-dollar debt because we spend too much."

"To sit back hoping that someday, someway, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last – but eat you he will."

"Government is not a solution to our problem government is the problem."

"Government is like a baby: an alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other."

"No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!"

Thank you Mr. Reagan, to which I add Amen.

There I said it and I mean it. What say you?

Just another "View from the Nest".

The Problems of Washington’s Role in Education Simplified

Thank you Heritage Foundation for this simply to understand video of Government regulated education’s failures. We need to return local education to the control of local jurisdictions and the families whose children are affected by the education being offered in their communities. Like they say the customer is always right. Except when it comes to Federal bureaucracies.

And the Theft Continues

“The Obama administration will begin to tap federal retiree programs to help fund operations after the government lost its ability Monday to borrow more money from the public, adding urgency to efforts in Washington to fashion a compromise over the debt.”

Notice how he never mentions a curb to federal spending. No matter how much money they take in they always want more.

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner has warned for months that the government would soon hit the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling — a legal limit on how much it can borrow. With that limit reached Monday, Geithner is undertaking special measures in an effort to postpone the day when he will no longer have enough funds to pay all of the government’s bills.

Again notice there is no plan that includes a curb to spending. As the story continues it only gets worse.

Geithner, who has already suspended a program that helps state and local government manage their finances, will begin to borrow from retirement funds for federal workers. The measure won’t have an impact on retirees because the Treasury is legally required to reimburse the program.

Exactly what they said when they raided the Social Security trust fund and replaced the funds set aside for senior citizen retirement with IOU from the treasury. How has that repayment plan worked out for Social security. Again notice not one word about a curb to spending. The federal government feels that every expenditure is needed and there is absolutely no curbs in spending that is reasonable.

If Congress does not vote by Aug. 2 to raise the debt limit, Geithner says the government is likely to default on some of its obligations, which he says would cause enormous economic harm and the suspension of government services, including the disbursal of Social Security funds.

Again with the scare tactics. The sky is falling and we must hurry and pass a bail-out, or a stimulus bill, or Obamacare, or some other thoughtless legislation which gives more and more money to the federal government and leaves less money in the pockets of the American people.

The government needs about $125 billion more a month than it takes in each month. In a sane world spending would be cut by $125 billion in order to balance the budget but only in Washington D.C. can they continue to write checks that WE THE PEOPLE are then forced to pay. We said no to bail-outs they did it anyway. WE said no to Simulus money, they did it anyway. We said hell no to obamacare and they shoved it down our throats anyway. We said no to raising the debt ceiling and yet the debate continues.

In a letter released last week to Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), Geithner wrote that a default would risk a “double-dip” recession. Yet he failed to mention the a ever increasing debt load has led to the continuing decline of the dollar which will cause a FAR GREATER burden to our future then cutting wasteful government spending would. Why must it always be WE NEED MORE MONEY and they never want to live with less. The government continues to grow no matter how bad the economy gets. It grows in good times and in bad times. In times of economic booms and in times of economic busts. NO matter what the government always wants more of your liberty and more of your property.

“Default would not only increase borrowing costs for the federal government, but also for families, businesses and local governments — reducing investment and job creation throughout the economy,” Geithner wrote. Yeah so how about we the people simply say NO and take away the check book, cut up the credit cards and send these folks to rehab for their addiction to spending. I am afraid that the only way we can get the government to cut spending is to actually lower the debt limit. Forcing them to live within their means. No more credit on the backs of the American people.

Let us not forget that the democrats failed to pass a budget in 2010 for 2011 and they just went on a spending spree without any regard to the consequences of their actions, The government is out of control and they are behaving irresponsibly with our money.

There is a proposed budget for 2012 on the table that the democrats in the Senate refuse to even consider. They do not want to be held accountable for their fiscal irresponsibility. Therefore we the people say NO MORE!!!

Can you hear us now?
