Dumbo Economics

First there was VooDoo Economics and Reagonomics now we have Dumbo economics courtesy of the Obama administration. Obama feels that sticking it to the rich will somehow create jobs. Has he not learned anything while in office? All his REGULATORY pins his administration has stuck into the economy as not created a rush on jobs in fact it has produced just the opposite no jobs were created in August 2011. That is ZERO for President ZERO.

Some people are just not too bright. The bible tells us that fools never learn. Well I guess that makes O a fool’s fool eh?

So for the first time since starting this blog I am awarding the first ever LIFETIME DODO bird award to President OBAMA for his DUMBO economics.

I wonder if he will accept it in person like he did the Nobel Peace Prize? NAW I doubt it.

China believes that Christianity is Key to U.S. Economic Success

China believes that Christianity is responsible for much of the historic success of Western Europe and the United States, said Dr. William Jeynes, senior fellow of The Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, N.J., during a presentation at the Family Research Council on Tuesday.

But while the Chinese government is open to Christianity, it also “wants to control Christianity.” Those in authority are very much aware of the Church’s role in bringing down the Berlin Wall and advancing democracy in the Soviet bloc.

“So they want Christianity for the benefits but they want to control it, and that is the balance they are trying to achieve.”

As a recent article in the Christian Post indicates China sees the benefits Christianity brought to the Western world. And since they wish to overtake America as the number one economic powerhouse they want to attempt to harness the benefits of Christianity while at the same time control its influence on the population. On the flip side policy makers and anti-Christian special interests groups in America are doing everything they can to end any Christian influence from our society. I guess you really do not know what you have until you loose it. Since China’s population has been oppressed for so long the light of the Gospel of  Christ shines very brightly through the dim light of communism. However in America which once was a shining city on a hill, the light of God’s blessing is quickly being extinguished by those who liken themselves as progressives.

The contrast between a regressive society realizing the blessings we as a nation seem to take for granted is striking and should make us pause long enough to once again gain the courage to stand up for what made America great. American exceptionalism is based solidly on the foundation of the Christian faith.

China sees it do you?

And that is this week’s tail feather. Think about it!

But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness. Isaiah 40:31 Open Link in New Window (BBE)

Along for the journey

The Sleeping Giant Has Awakened

As the deadline for the budget impasse approaches the usual suspects are flapping their gums attempting to be relevant. What passes for news today is really pathetic. I do not know if it is the failure of higher education or if the producers of these news programs are simply ideologically driven, in any case real journalism has died in America and along with it critical thinking. Whatever the reason it is what it is.

That being said, there is far more at stake than a continuing budget resolution to fund the federal government another week or two or three. What is at stake is the fiscal health of the country. We are well past the place to allow business as usual to continue. I think even the most jaded among us will have to finally admit America can no longer afford government largess. It is time to lock up the check book, cut up the credit card, eliminate the expense accounts and hold the federal bureaucrats accountable for their actions.

budget cuts

If you are like me for many years we simply went about our business and paid little mind to politics or the political process, that was until the election of 2008. The two years leading up to this historic election shook me out of my political slumber and I realized that for too long I have been passive.  As a result, the federal till was left unattended, and our national treasure was being looted. Like the frog in the kettle, many of us had tolerated the ever-increasing federal bureaucracy and the slow erosion of our liberties, but the current administration turned up the heat too fast and we frogs realized we were being boiled alive.

We have been stirred into action. We are no longer sitting back and allowing the foxes to raid the hen-house. As a result, the curtain has been drawn back and those who have hidden in the dark have been exposed to the light. It is a new day in America. It is no longer business as usual. The sleeping giant has been awakened, and he is wielding a big club. Fee fi foe fum budget cuts are about to come. There I said it and I meant it. What say you?

A Proven 10 Step “Tax-Free” Program to End the War on Poverty

It works. It can be proven. It can be duplicated. It costs taxpayers nothing. It is supported by America’s founders. Liberals hate it. Conservatives embrace it.

Below are the 10 Commandments to end poverty

1) Establish and maintain the rule of law.
