Two days after defying Republicans and the Constitution by appointing Richard Cordray to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, President Obama visited the new agency to take a little time to gloat.

Making a victory lap of sorts at the independent agency, Obama cracked a joke, telling employees that he came by to help their new director move in.

When he announced Cordray’s appointment in Ohio on Wednesday, Obama made it clear that he would not wait for Congress to act on issues he deems pressing.

“When Congress refuses to act, and as a result hurts our economy and puts our people at risk, then I have an obligation as president to do what I can without them,” he said.

“I’ve got an obligation to act on behalf of the American people. And I’m not going to stand by while a minority in the Senate puts party ideology ahead of the people we were elected to serve. Not with so much at stake, not at this make-or-break moment for the middle class.” Source The Hill

And our elected leaders said nary a peep about it. Where is the outrage? Where is the uproar? Where are those who swore on oath to uphold our Constitution?

Ours is not a nation of men but of laws so eloquently spoken by John Adams. By taking an end run around congress Obama has set himself up as the dictator in chief. Congress is elected by the people to represent their interests and to act on their behalf. This action by Obama, like other actions rammed down the American people’s collective throats, shows exactly how little respect Obama has for the American people. Wednesday Obama gave the American people the proverbial finger. It is time we give him the proverbial kick in the butt right out the door.

In spite of the many valid criticisms leveled against John Adams, it is fair to argue that his ideal, that America was a “nation of laws, not of men,” has been the bed rock of our Nation’s longevity.  At every crisis faced by our nation, the Constitution has always been there to temper the heated passions and calm the political tempests.  The genius of the Constitution’s simplicity and brevity has been one of the keys to its permanence.  However, it is only a piece of paper.  It takes citizens to create a civil, law-abiding nation. 

Amoral relativism has reduced questions of right and wrong to simple expediency. Everyone doing what they think is right regardless of established law is a canker that becomes the death knell of free societies.

The American ideal is that we are “a nation of laws, not of men,”  but the unpleasant reality is that the ruling class obeys only the laws it chooses to obey.

“We the people”can persuade its ruling class to “choose to obey” its laws through various means, and not even the absolute monarchs of ancient times could casually disregard all of them.We need to challenge our representatives to take a stand against unconstitutional government and voice our positions firmly but politely, reminding them that they work on our behalf and were chosen to represent our interests not their own. Groups like the Heritage Foundation, Americans for Prosperity, the TEA Party movement and other grass-roots activists groups have been successful in stemming the tide of tyranny rapidly overtaking our society.

Of course, there is always the punishment we can administer at the ballot box, but this is a “limited.” The rate of re-election for the House of Representatives hovers around 95%, and rarely drops below 90% . Senators enjoy high re-election rates as well, with the worst years of the modern era barely dipping below 80%. The most fabulously corrupt members of Congress have been there for decades.I guess we are gluttons for punishment. It is time we enforce our own term limits upon these ‘career politicians’. We must insist that they represent our interests or they will be replaced at the next election. One term until they learn that our government is of the people, by the people, and for the people.

The growth of the modern super-state will continue to grow and become more unruly as it continues to circumvent or disregard legal restrictions on its power enumerated in the Constitution.We the people must hold our elected officials accountable to us and urge them to uphold and defend the Constitution as ‘rule of law.’ Things have degenerated to the point where no one even bothers asking if the actions taken by congress, the President, or the courts is constitutional. The government has become unhooked from the restraints of the constitution and it is now operating lawlessly.

A government that is not restrained by the ‘rule of law’ is both immoral and inefficient. It’s interesting to note that almost the only restraint on government power to survive the last few decades intact is the two-term limit on the presidency, imposed through the 22nd Amendment in 1951.  Of course, like any law, it could be changed – and there are people who wish to repeal the 22nd Amendment – but changing a law is vastly more difficult than ignoring it, particularly when dealing with amendments to the Constitution.

Equally strong term limits for Congress would go a long way toward draining the Washington cesspool, making each politician less attractive targets for graft, and preventing them from accumulating decades of power to insulate themselves from the consequences of their actions. In a similar vein, dramatic tax reform is the only reliable means of preventing Washington from believing it can appropriate unlimited funds to indulge its grand designs. I am a strong advocate for abolishing the IRS and instituting a flat tax or fair tax. Eliminate all tax loopholes and apply the tax to everyone. None is exempt thereby making everyone invested in how their tax money is being spent. With almost 50% of the population not paying any taxes is it any wonder there is a large percentage of the population in favor or raising taxes? Since they do not contribute they are not concerned about those who must pay the bill.

We need to take our country back but that requires effort on our part and the willingness to actually take part in our own leadership. We need to embrace the IDEAL that we are a self-governing people and not looking to be ruled by a ‘elite ruling class’. By our silence and inaction, we have allowed our current state of affairs. We have not sought to maintain our autonomy but rather went looking for a king. Well my friends a king is what we have crowned. Giving all authority and power to an individual or a ruling class delimits our own liberty and makes us slaves of the masters.

I do not know about you and your house but this current administration does not speak for me on nearly all matters pertaining to my life and liberty and pursuit of happiness, therefore the ruling class is not seeking to defend my liberties but is only interested in advancing their own agendas and gaining power and control over my freedoms.

Dems Efforts to Re-Write Constitution Prior to Obama’s Election


According to this video report Democrats in Congress made no less than 8 attempts to re-write the Constitutions eligibility clause to allow non natural-born citizens to be elected President. The timing of such efforts casts suspicion upon the democrat party apparently they knew that Obama was not eligible for election but wanted him anyway. Since the Democrats have a history of re-writing or totally ignoring the Constitution anytime it conflicts with their agenda this report is not hard to believe. Actually the documents in this report can be verified making the charges credible.

The video ends with the Congressional ruling that John McCain was eligible for election and in the wording of that document they were able to say the natural-born citizen clause of the Constitution does not mean what it says. In addition Obama has spent a great deal of money and twarted any effort to gain access to any records that would indicate his citizen status. He even met secretly with 8 of the 9 Supreme court justices concerning legal cases pending at the Supreme court regarding his citizenship and eligilbility status.

All this on its face is certainly worth considering. Since we know the Democrats will stop at nothing to advance their agenda this really does not surprise me, nor do I find it unfathomable. Tell me what you think.

But as for me the sooner we get rid of this bunch of thieves, liars and tyrants the better off America will be.

“The Economist” Chides Teapartier’s Constitutional Stand as Infantile

This same argument is used by the same group of people when they chide Christians who believe the bible, an artifact far older than our constitution.

These devils, yes I called them devils because I believe that best describes them, twist the language and change the meanings of the very words written upon our Constitution to suit their depraved ideologies. Using the same argument the serpent in the garden said to Eve..”did God really say?” calling into question the very word of God to Adam and Eve.

This tactic seems to work every time it is tried on a gullible and easily misled populace. To an out-of-control government, discrediting the founders and calling the Constitution a living and breathing document serve their purpose to seize more and more freedoms from the American people and replace our God-given rights with government permissions; thereby setting themselves up as lords over the people.

Well Pharoah tried that once and so did the Babylonian King, both of them reaped judgment of God for their actions.

Perhaps these devils shall meet the same fate? One can hope!

Indeed, there is something infantile in the belief of the constitution-worshippers that the complex political arguments of today can be settled by simple fidelity to a document written in the 18th century. Michael Klarman of the Harvard Law School has a label for this urge to seek revealed truth in the sacred texts. He calls it “constitutional idolatry”.

The constitution is a thing of wonder, all the more miraculous for having been written when the rest of the world’s peoples were still under the boot of kings and emperors (with the magnificent exception of Britain’s constitutional monarchy, of course). But many of the tea-partiers have invented a strangely ahistorical version of it. For example, they say that the framers’ aim was to check the central government and protect the rights of the states. In fact the constitution of 1787 set out to do the opposite: to bolster the centre and weaken the power the states had briefly enjoyed under the new republic’s Articles of Confederation of 1777.

Today all the news programs were reporting on the eventuality of Obamacare becoming law. There were all the news anchors giving their assessments as to how many more votes were needed to pass this law, but not too many of them were addressing the underlying problem with this whole process. It is entirely unconstitutional. The manner in which the House of Representatives is going about trying to garner votes for a very unpopular bill is not permitted in the laws and statutes of our land. But this congress has proven itself to be totally lawless, and having no compunction they rush full speed ahead in shredding the very Constitution they swore to uphold. Although they have taken an oath to defend the Constitution, their daily actions betray that oath.

Once we stray from the statutes and limitations laid down by law, nothing is off limits, there is nothing to restrict our lusts for power and control. Congress is out of control. They are taking over more and more of the private economy and restricting personal freedoms by treating the Constitution as a list of suggestions rather than the law of the land it is supposed to represent.

God too laid down a foundation of statutes for which he intended his people to obey. These limitations on our freewill were statutes of liberation not domination. But when these laws are violated and disregarded then, instead of being a free people, we find ourselves enslaved to our own wants, needs and desires. We find ourselves unable to control our appetites for more and more. We find ourselves violating not one but all of these statutes repeatedly because we did not hold them up as infallible.

Each who calls himself a child of God, must hold to the statutes set forth by God so that our behaviors do not contradict our oaths of allegiance. These commandments are meant for a free people and not intended to enslave them. Our Constitution limits the reach of the federal government in order to protect the Freedoms and rights possessed by the people given to them by God. These rights do not need to be legislated nor granted, they are inherent in our natural birth, they do need to be protected however.

Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted. And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom. ) Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.” Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?” Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob. When Obama speaks about the congress giving rights and adding to these rights, what he is really saying is that congress is eliminating our “natural rights” and replacing them with legislated permissions which must be granted by the government and by so granting they can also be regulated and controlled. Therefore you are no longer free for you have been bought with a price. These government rights are not rights at all but privileges granted under law, which of course will be regulated by the same law making body. True rights however are not regulated by any form of government but are granted freely by GOD to all equally. We have been born free, and yet so many are so quick to willingly trade their “birthrights” for a mortal of government stew, mere crumbs from the King’s table. Why beg for the stew of servitude when you can have the bountiful feast of freedom?

By rejecting the Creator who has granted to us all unalienable rights our actions subject us to rule by force and domination. By not holding God up as the source of our rights and freedoms we replace Him with edicts and dictates of men. These edicts and dictates enslave us and rob from us the freedoms granted to us by Almighty God (our natural birthrights). We therefore replace his statutes of liberty for laws of servitude.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. –That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
