One a cold mid-winter night.

A bitter cold winter’s night that almost cost the colonists our beloved country. Feet froze and legs turning black the soldiers encamped at Valley Forge.

As we prepare for our annual Christmas celebrations let us pause and give thanks to those who made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we so often take for granted. And while we are meditating on the sacrifices of these men and women, let us also remember that without the greatest gift of all Jesus Christ there really wouldn’t be any thing to celebrate.

"God rest ye merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay.
For Jesus Christ our Savior,
Was born on Christmas Day;
To save us all from Satan’s power,
When we were gone astray.

O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy."

Food Stamp Recipients Sue Over Work Requirements

The food stamp program has only very modest work requirements, which most states are not currently implementing.

To think that expecting someone to actually EARN money would be considered unfair by those who get money for doing nothing. The bible even says if a MAN does not work he shouldn’t eat. But in America it is perfectly acceptable for a man to be lazy and do nothing and expect his neighbors to give him a hand-out. He makes no effort to elevate his own circumstances but instead sues to keep the freebies coming.
