Christian Symbolism not Fit for Presidential Address

Not fit for a Presidential address is any Christian symbolism yet the President has no problem being seen on Arab TV. In fact his first Televised appearance was on Arab TV. So I guess only Christian symbolism is unfit for the President to be seen in front of.

This is not really a big deal but the very fact that the White House specifically stated that any symbolism that represents the college be covered up makes one wonder what exactly is the matter with Georgetown University that their heritage and symbolism needs to be hidden from public view.

(CNSNews.com) – As First Lady, Laura Bush spoke at Georgetown University in front of the same “IHS”–a symbol for the name of Jesus–that the Jesuit school covered over when President Barack Obama spoke there on Tuesday.

The IHS symbol behind Mrs. Bush would have been seen in the same place during Obama’s speech had it not been covered over by Georgetown.

In a written statement to CNSNews.com on Wednesday, Georgetown Associate Vice President Julie Green Bataille said that the IHS symbol had been covered over when “Georgetown honored the White House staff’s request to cover all of the Georgetown University signage and symbols behind the Gaston Hall stage.”
