Preparations for the Manifestation:Creating a Worship Space part 3

When the LORD God made the earth and the heavens and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground, but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the groundGenesis 2:4-7 (NIV)
Our focus last month was on the symphony of creation and we learned how the Lord orchestrated the symphony to make something beautiful from the darkened void of chaos. Like the composer of the music that an orchestra ultimately performs God takes a blank page and creates a masterpiece. This month we are going to look at the preparations for the manifestation.

Anyone who has ever written a song, authored a book, penned a poem, painted a picture or created anything artistic has experienced the joy of seeing ones creation come into being. Seeing it in one’s minds eye before it ever sees the light of day is where great compositions have been birthed.
While living in Leipzig in 1723 Johann Sebastian Bach wrote his most enduring music. Although unappreciated and underpaid and ridiculed as a stuffy old man clinging to obsolete musical form he wrote a cantata a week until he had composed several hundred such compositions which today are noteworthy and highly esteemed.
Bach if he were alive today would most likely give glory to God for the inspiration behind his compositions many of which would conclude with a chorale based on a simple Lutheran hymn, and the music is at all times closely bound to biblical texts.
Irving Berlin, a modern day American composer was asked by Don Freeman during an interview for the San Diego Union, “Is there any question you’ve never been asked that you would like someone to ask you?”

“Well, yes, there is one,” he replied. “‘What do you think of the many songs you’ve written that didn’t become hits?’ My reply would be that I still think they are wonderful.”
God, too, has an unshakable delight in what–and whom–he has made. He thinks each of his children is wonderful. Whether they’re a “hit” in the eyes of others or not, he will always think they’re wonderful.
If no one ever saw the goodness of God’s symphony He would still pronounce it GOOD; for it was birthed from His heart of love and anything birthed in love will be loved forever and always.

All of creation was put into place to sing the praises of He who created it. For without the singers a song would never be heard. All things were put into place by the Master Conductor and orchestrator of creation. He seen to it that every little detail was taken care of, all the preparations had been made for the manifestation of the Lord’s presence to be revealed. The whole purpose of creation was to host the eternal manifestation of the presence of God. Next month we will focus on the Manifestation of His Presence. Until then. Selah
