Are Tea Parties Good for America?


The question is posed, are the tea parties good or bad for America? They are America!

From the founding of this great nation it has been our heritage to stand for and protect our freedoms, ordained under God, and preserved through the blood of those who fought and died for that freedom.

The original Tea Party took place in Boston, Dec. 16, 1773, when American Colonists dumped 342 containers of tea into the Boston harbor. Opposition to that Tea Party arose from the ruling political class much like it is today. The British Parliament retaliated by enacting a series of Intolerable Acts, these punitive acts where meant to force the colonists to acquiesce to British rule. Instead it only steeled the colonists in their resistance.

Economic and military tensions between the colonists and the British escalated when in February of 1775, a provincial congress was held in Massachusetts and began defensive preparations for a state of war. The colonists where not just going to lie down and acquiesce. This riled the English Parliament and they declared Massachusetts in a state of rebellion.

On March 23, 1775, a meeting of the colony’s delegates was held in St. John’s church in Richmond, Virginia. Resolutions were presented by Patrick Henry putting the colony of Virginia “into a posture of defense…embodying, arming, and disciplining such a number of men as may be sufficient for that purpose.” Before the vote was taken on his resolutions, Henry delivered his now famous speech imploring the delegates to vote in favor of the resolutions.

He spoke without any notes in a voice that became louder and louder, climaxing with the now famous ending. “Give me liberty or give me death.” The resolution passed and Virginia joined in the American Revolution.

Our own Declaration of Independence outlines the thought processes that led up to this American Revolution. It was the position of our founding fathers that America was going to be a free self-governing republic.

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.

This founding document of these great United States of America gives the right to self governance to the people, and proclaims it as our duty to preserve it and to leave to future generations a guardianship that will secure there liberty.

Many who now find themselves in peaceful, public protest of an out of control government have suffered quietly for many years. Enduring the abuse of power coming from the Federal Government, complaining to themselves but still going about their business. However, there comes a time when oppressive government regulation and taxation causes these once quiet people to take a stand and say enough is enough. The Boston Tea party and its present day namesake share one thing in common, an over reaching Government attempting to exert absolute rule over a free people.

It was never the intention of the founding fathers to set up an all powerful central government and specifically limited it’s powers by enacting the Constitution. This law of the land has served our country well, but alas it appears that not even the restrictions placed in the Constitution is able to hinder the rapid expansion of the Federal government as it attempts to regulate our very lives.

Enough was enough, just as the Tea Partiers of old, regular hard working American Citizens are standing up and taking action to protest, to this government, that we the people are not going to allow it, or any other political power, to take away our freedoms guaranteed under our founding documents.

So I ask you. Are tea parties good for America? I say they are America! So I, along with Patrick Henry and the signers of the declaration of independence, do hereby declare my support to my fellow countrymen, and stand with the tea party movement, so that together we can withstand this rise of tyranny within our midst. So help us God!

Today all the news programs were reporting on the eventuality of Obamacare becoming law. There were all the news anchors giving their assessments as to how many more votes were needed to pass this law, but not too many of them were addressing the underlying problem with this whole process. It is entirely unconstitutional. The manner in which the House of Representatives is going about trying to garner votes for a very unpopular bill is not permitted in the laws and statutes of our land. But this congress has proven itself to be totally lawless, and having no compunction they rush full speed ahead in shredding the very Constitution they swore to uphold. Although they have taken an oath to defend the Constitution, their daily actions betray that oath.

Once we stray from the statutes and limitations laid down by law, nothing is off limits, there is nothing to restrict our lusts for power and control. Congress is out of control. They are taking over more and more of the private economy and restricting personal freedoms by treating the Constitution as a list of suggestions rather than the law of the land it is supposed to represent.

God too laid down a foundation of statutes for which he intended his people to obey. These limitations on our freewill were statutes of liberation not domination. But when these laws are violated and disregarded then, instead of being a free people, we find ourselves enslaved to our own wants, needs and desires. We find ourselves unable to control our appetites for more and more. We find ourselves violating not one but all of these statutes repeatedly because we did not hold them up as infallible.

Each who calls himself a child of God, must hold to the statutes set forth by God so that our behaviors do not contradict our oaths of allegiance. These commandments are meant for a free people and not intended to enslave them. Our Constitution limits the reach of the federal government in order to protect the Freedoms and rights possessed by the people given to them by God. These rights do not need to be legislated nor granted, they are inherent in our natural birth, they do need to be protected however.

Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted. And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom. ) Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.” Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?” Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob. When Obama speaks about the congress giving rights and adding to these rights, what he is really saying is that congress is eliminating our “natural rights” and replacing them with legislated permissions which must be granted by the government and by so granting they can also be regulated and controlled. Therefore you are no longer free for you have been bought with a price. These government rights are not rights at all but privileges granted under law, which of course will be regulated by the same law making body. True rights however are not regulated by any form of government but are granted freely by GOD to all equally. We have been born free, and yet so many are so quick to willingly trade their “birthrights” for a mortal of government stew, mere crumbs from the King’s table. Why beg for the stew of servitude when you can have the bountiful feast of freedom?

By rejecting the Creator who has granted to us all unalienable rights our actions subject us to rule by force and domination. By not holding God up as the source of our rights and freedoms we replace Him with edicts and dictates of men. These edicts and dictates enslave us and rob from us the freedoms granted to us by Almighty God (our natural birthrights). We therefore replace his statutes of liberty for laws of servitude.

Judging Rightly: Supreme Court Justices


“Don’t be corrupt when administering justice. Never give special favors to poor people, and never show preference to important people. Judge your neighbor fairly. Leviticus 19:15

Judge Souter retired and Obama has announced his nomination to the Supreme court judge  an appointment for life. What should be the qualifications for these arbiters of justice? And what qualifications is Obama looking for?

During his campaign, Barack Obama said he wanted to appoint Supreme Court justices with a “heart” for the downtrodden, and who would use courts to help the poor.

In his place, Obama said, he’d appoint someone who understands more than just a “footnote in a case book” but also the realities of how the law affects people’s daily lives. Obama said he valued the “quality of empathy” and was hopeful of finding a new justice who would reflect on people’s “hopes and struggles” in the process of arriving at legal decisions. It would appear from what Obama has said in the past and from his appointment of Sonia Sotomayor that his main focus was on finding someone who will administer his social policies under the guise of Supreme Law. And yet when we look into the SUPREME LAW, as given by God himself, we find just the opposite is  true. A true judge should not take into account one’s social standing at all but judge evenly between two parties and arrive at a JUST decision and not one twisted by one’s own idiology. The plan here folks is to do away with our Constitution the written law of the land and replace it with some convoluted social justice that makes the Government the supreme law giver and granter of rights. Whereby our constitution rests upon the foundation of those rights being given by GOD,, to the individual, and the government should not impose restrictions upon those rights.

You see what happens when we depart from the straight and narrow way and head down this crooked road of twisted justice and where moral judgment is left standing outside the door looking in.

“And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” Isaiah 59:14

Something Scary This Way Comes


On the weeks leading up to Halloween something evil has been unearthed. Hidden away for 7 years it finally came to light here on the week before the election. This is enough to make your skin crawl.

The above commentary was intended tongue in cheek for all those liberals out there who lack a sense of humor.

Listen to an audio interview Obama gave in 2001 with Chicago Public Radio WBEZ.FM. In this interview Obama discusses the best way to bring about a redistribution of wealth, how the Warren Supreme Court interpreted the law and the fact that�it wasn’t terribly radical.

During the discussion Obama says, “Generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties, says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you,but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf . . . because the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change.”

See You at the Pole (SYATP) is now an annual, international event. Students of all ages organize prayer gatherings outside of regular school hours, usually at 7 a.m. local time. Many parents, teachers and youth pastors join in. This years event occurs on Wednesday September 24.

Student-led prayer, even at public schools, is free speech protected by the U.S. Constitution. By gathering around their flagpoles, young people take a stand for Christ as they call on his name in prayer.
