Oyster and Pearl

The most extraordinary thing about the oyster is this. Irritations get into his shell. He does not like them. But when he cannot get rid of them, he uses the irritation to do the loveliest thing an oyster ever has a chance to do. If there are irritations in our lives today, there is only one prescription: Make a pearl. It may have to be a pearl of patience, but, anyhow, make a pearl. Harry Emerson Fosdick

But that’s not all. We also brag when we are suffering. We know that suffering creates endurance, endurance creates character, and character creates confidence. Romans 5:3-4 (GW)

This Month’s Golden Eagle Award Winner is:

Dallas Academy Girls Basketball team. Although trounced by a lopsided 100-0 score these girls came off the floor winners. Their never quit attitude could teach us all a few things. I am honored to present this month’s Golden Eagle award to the fantastic 8 of Dallas Academy. WAY TO GO GIRLS!

Godly Persistance Produces Plenty

Keep Pushing Tender Sprout

Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out if they’ve got a second. Give your dreams all you’ve got and you’ll be amazed at the energy that comes out of you.

William James

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39 (NKJV)
