He gets a failing grade if he is being graded on how well he has managed American liberty. However to a Marxist, or communist, or statist he will probably get rave reviews for the speed at which he has singlehandedly moved so many people into the ranks of the needy and beggarly. He has negatively affected every area of the economy and has brought about the greatest economic downturn in recent history.

The only promise I want Obama to keep is his promise of a One term President.

Why Import Taxes Do Nothing to Boost the US Economy


Although the left love to attack Chinese imports and blame them for the loss of US jobs, This story exposes the fallacy of import taxes and why they do not create US jobs. This is a must read article for anyone who entertained the idea that taxing Chinese goods would somehow equate to US job creation. In the end the only thing that will happen is the consumer will pay more.

The word comes from the Italian word tariffa “list of prices, book of rates,” which is derived from the Arabic ta’rif “to notify or announce.”[2]

US needs to tax Chinese imports that depress jobs

Last week Japan’s minister of finance declared that he and his colleagues wanted a discussion with China about the latter’s purchases of Japanese bonds, to "examine its intention" – diplomat-speak for "Stop it right now." The news made me want to bang my head against the wall.
