I do not know about you but I am growing weary of all the TALK going on and on and on. Primarily I am talking about endless 24 hour a day news cycle. There are several CABLE channels devoted to nothing but NEWS all the time. And each one has their cadre of talking heads all offering an opinion on the days HOT TOPIC ITEM. You would think with all this talking going on that SOMETHING positive would come of it all… aw not really… since most of the talk is NEGATIVE one can get really depressed if you listen to too much NEWSSPEAK.

The bible tells us…

When there are many words, sin is unavoidable, but the one who controls his lips is wise. Proverbs 10:19 (HCSB)

Proverbs insists that with so much talk going on ERROR (sin) is unavoidable. As Christians we are supposed to use SPEECH to build up and encourage those who hear us.

Finally, brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable. Philippians 4:8 (GW)

We should be attempting to SPEAK TRUTH in a loving way. No one has all the answers, and although NEWS REPORTERS like to appear IN THE KNOW, I fear they are leading many astray just by the huge volume of WORDS they have spoken.

An old folk adage goes something like this.. Let the words you speak be sweet for you do not know how many of them you may have to EAT.

Or perhaps put a little better.. If you do not have anything GOOD to say, say nothing at all.

This article is not meant to be a tutorial on free market capitalism but rather an individual thought piece on America‘s current market conditions, which in case you have not noticed is pretty dismal.

The Obama administration is doing everything possible to divert our attention away from the real state of the Union. Any good magician will tell you that in order to work an effective trick you need to learn the art of distraction. You get the audience to focus their attention away from where the “magic” is taking place and by slight of hand, and misdirection, you are able to fool an audience into believing you have magical powers. In Obama’s case he is attempting to divert the attention of the American people away from his failed policies and the dismal economic conditions brought about by those policies, by focusing the public’s attention on other things like demonizing BIG BUSINESS aka ‘capitalism’.

Since taking office Obama has made it very clear, to anyone who is actually listening, that he intended to rid America of her dependence on fossil fuels. His policies to date reinforce his position. Not to get sidetracked but I need to lay a little ground work before continuing with this thought piece.

I, like many other conservatives, enjoy listening to conservative talk radio, Rush, Hannity and Levin, the latter being my current favorite of the three. It was during one of Hannity’s programs that I heard Hannity speaking to a young lady from Nevada who identified herself as Krystal Heath (@KrystalHeath on twitter) She, being one of Sean’s twitter brigade, was being interviewed by Sean on the air. As a result I subscribed to her blog and twitter feed. Krystal’s latest blog post inspired me to tackle this topic of market pricing and capitalism in general.

Like I said this article is meant to be a thought piece and I am hoping that others will pick-up on what Krystal started and continue to add to the thought process.

Fueled by Coke

For decades, Americans have gathered together at parties, picnics, and sporting events toting strollers, dogs, and coolers full of that all popular beverage… Coca-Cola (or some wanna-be derivative thereof).  Whether in bottles or cans, caffeinated or not, none can deny that soda (or “pop” or “Coke” for my non-East Coast friends) has become a staple in our culture.

Now before I go any further, I should clarify.  I like soda.  I really do.  I have to limit myself with soda like some people limit themselves with alcohol.  Usually on weekends, I grab a cold Coke bottle from the fridge, sit on the porch, and indulge.  And I love it.

But then there’s those times when you go to out to eat… and you begin to wonder if soda is really worth what you’re paying for it.  Or, maybe you already know, it’s not.  It’s really not.  Particularly if you’re going for a fountain soda.

It has been estimated that the profit margin on fountain soda is 90%.  NINETY PERCENT!!!  Let me put it another way… if you paid $5 for a soda at that restaurant, they just made $4.50 off you right there.  BOOM.

But hey… it’s free refills right?  We can splurge once in a while, and it’s no big deal.  Nobody’s protesting fountain soda profits… and we’d probably laugh at them if they did.

Let’s look at this a different way though.  Brace yourself…  the profit margin on a gallon of gasoline?  In 2006, an estimated 2.5%.  Or, using math similar to the last equation… if you paid $5 for a gallon of gas, the “big oil” company that sold it to you just made $0.125.  TWELVE and a HALF CENTS.  Fast forward to 2012, and Fox Business‘ John Stossel found that the average profit on gasoline is a meager $0.05 per gallon.  PER GALLON.

This appears to be odd no? How could a sweetened water product costing less to produce sell for a greater profit margin than oil which has to be drilled for, extracted from the well, shipped or piped to a refinery where it is then refined into useable fuel oil, shipped to a fueling station?

From the way Obama and the left leaning media have demonized oil companies you would think the reverse of the above illustration would be the norm. Oil companies would be making the WHOPPING 90% profit and a sweetened tap-water product would earn the meager 2.5% if we really wanted to be FAIR.

Shouldn’t the company that takes on the greater expense of producing and delivering a product receive the higher pay? Doesn’t the liberals constantly beat us everyday that everyone should get equal pay for equal work? What if someone actually has to WORK HARDER than their neighbor to earn a living? Shouldn’t they get paid more? Not in Liberalland!

You see all this talk about fairness is all a smoke screen to divert our eyes from the real problems facing our society, and that is the REDISTRIBUTION of WEALTH or government intervention in free market capitalism.

Let’s get back to Krystal’s article because she made some excellent points I would like to emphasize here.

She writes: “In case you didn’t quite get that… let me show you again…

$5 for a fountain soda at your favorite restaurant (8-16oz.) = $4.50 in profit to the owner

$5 for a gallon of gasoline (128 oz.) = $0.75 in profit to owner

Here’s one just for fun… a gallon of fountain soda at $5 per 16oz?

$40 = $36 profit to owner (good thing our cars aren’t fueled by Coke)

 

(note to self: at least not yet but who knows what the government will mandate in the future, they are already forcing us to put high fructose corn syrup in our tanks aka ethanol so why not Coke?)

That’s what I call perspective people.  We will willingly dish out a $5 bill for a mere 16oz. of flavored, carbonated water which the world has in abundance.  Then, we gawk like the world is coming to an end if the Shell station wants $5 for 128oz. worth of fossil fuels!

And later in the article she writes this:

My point is, before you go jumping all over someone for making money, do some research.  How much are they really making?  Don’t believe everything you hear.  And most definitely, don’t believe everything the media tells you.

We have heard Rush, Sean, Mark and now Krystal all say the same thing, do not listen to the media because they have an agenda. The politicians too have an agenda, and trust me it is not looking out for our best interests, it is however in finding ways to enrich themselves at the expense of the American people.

How much should gasoline cost then? How much profit should an oil company make? How can we be sure they are only making their ‘FAIR SHARE”? That my friends is a very good question. And I took Krystal’s advice and did my own research.

Oil company profits are not all earned at the fuel pump so it is a bit more complicated than simply looking at the price of a gallon of gasoline. Since petroleum-based products are used in so many other products which are also sold to the consumer the oil companies are able to profit from these other industries as well. In the case of oil companies let’s see just what all that BLACK GOLD produces shall we? Yes we shall.

A partial list of products made from Petroleum (144 of 6000 items)

One 42-gallon barrel of oil creates 19.4 gallons of gasoline. The rest (over half) is used to make things like:

Americans consume petroleum products at a rate of three-and-a-half gallons of oil and more than 250 cubic feet of natural gas per day each! But, as shown here petroleum is not just used for fuel.

OMG! Now that my friends is a lot of products and that is just a tiny fraction of all the products manufactured from a barrel of oil. For those who are mathematically challenged the list represents 0.024%.

Since oil companies are able to offer their product across many sectors of our economy, and many products are petroleum-based, the oil companies are then able to offer gasoline, a relative by-product of oil refinery, at a very affordable price.

Or are they?

Why then are gasoline prices rising so rapidly?  The answer may shock and surprise some of you. The short answer is your not so consumer friendly government. That’s right I said it. Since I do not believe the liberal media I decided to seek the answer to that question myself. Here is what I found.

With the high cost of filling your gas tank today, you might be interested in understanding the process and the real costs associated with getting the gasoline at your local station from the crude oil at the refineries.

The following is a brief overview of how the refining process works and how profits margins are calculated.

Four Major End Uses

According to the U.S. Department of Energy (D.O.E), the refining of crude oil produces such widely used end-item products as reformulated (sulfur-free) and conventional gasoline, kerosene-based jet fuels, lubricants such as motor oil, as well as home-heating fuel, kerosene, asphalt and road oil. Most of these products are used primarily in four different ways.

They can be burned, as is the case for gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel fuel to provide the energy for driving automobiles, trucks, airplanes, ships, etc.; to heat a building; to supply the energy for driving electric-generating turbines; and to create petrochemicals and products such as plastics, polyurethane, and a myriad of other petroleum-based goods for the consumer.

Beginning The Refining Process

First – a word about the refining process. Simply stated, because crude oil is made up of a mixture of hydrocarbons, the first step in the refining process is to separate the different types of hydrocarbons from the mix. This is accomplished by heating the crude oil in a process similar to that used in a “moonshine-still”. During the course of the distillation process different products are boiled off and extracted at different temperatures. For instance, at the lowest temperatures, less than 360 degrees F., the lighter products are recovered such as butane, naphtha, and low octane gasoline. The yield at this stage is about 20 percent gasoline and about 50 percent residual crude. As the temperature rises to 650 degrees F., distillates such as jet fuel, kerosene, home heating oil and diesel fuel are recovered next.

End Of The Process

Finally, at the more sophisticated refineries, the residual oil that is left, the heaviest and least valued of the crude is processed even further at temperatures over 1000 degrees F. to extract even more of the lighter products, principally gasoline. By using these extra steps in the process, gasoline yields of around 60 percent can be obtained with only about 5 percent residual. Additional processing of the gasoline from that point can, among other things, remove the sulfur content and for some of the gasoline, produce a higher octane, which because of this extra processing will cost you more at the pump.

(note to self: government regulations require refineries to take this extra more costly step.)

So we already see even at the onset how government forced mandates raises the cost of a gallon of gasoline at the pump. Oh but it gets even worse. The article continues:

Seasonal And Regional Production And Markets

Keep in mind that because of many variables, including different taxes levied, seasonal changes and different blends required in the refining process, the cost of obtaining a gallon of gasoline for the Virginia market will be less than for a gallon of gasoline sold at the pump in California. In California, where much of its oil comes from refineries within the state, special laws call for specific requirements for lead content and other additives as well as unique gasoline formulations to prevent smog and other environmental considerations.

These extra requirements relate to higher refining costs that will be passed along in the higher pump prices. Also, since the quality of all crude oil varies widely, it should be noted that the level or ease (and cost) of refining depends a great deal on the quality of the crude. For instance, premium crude oil from Texas, called West Texas Intermediate has the most desirable characteristics for producing the lighter products like gasoline while premium crude from Nigeria is easier to refine for middle distillates like home heating oil and jet fuel. In direct contrast, the refining of Saudi Arabian Light will yield about 50 percent heavy residual crude that must go through the more costly additional processing.

(note to self – another very good reason why we should be limiting the amount of oil we import from these costly nations)

The Gulf Coast is the leader in oil refinery capacity in the U.S. and has the greatest concentration of state-of-the-art facilities in the world capable of refining the heavier residual crude. This region supplies refined products to both the East Coast (more than half of the gasoline, heating oil, diesel, and jet fuel) and to the Midwest (more than 20 percent). As stated earlier, California operates its own reformulated gasoline program.

Okay so far the cost of gasoline has to increase because of GOV REGULATION requiring refineries to refine gasoline to a much finer quality. If we simply ran DIESEL fuel the refineries would not have to go through 2 additional processes to supply the market. The reason we do not see more diesel-powered vehicles on the road is a topic for another discussion but in short it is because of -wait for it- if you said Government regulation go to the head of the  class.

Oh but there is more:

Final Note

Unfortunately, despite the U.S. attempts to reduce oil consumption (3.3 percent in March 2008), that reduction in consumption will be significantly offset by the increased demand for crude oil from developing nations like China and India. And because nearly three-quarters of the cost of gasoline at the pump is traceable to the cost of the basic crude, despite our lessening demand, the price for gasoline will keep rising, a factor mostly driven by the increasing global demand for that all too precious crude oil.

That old free market devil is at it again, supply and demand. As America reduces oil consumption, the rest of the world is not and as a result more demand is placed upon the limited supply thus the prices rise. Once again our Government can do something to help ease the SUPPLY side of this equation by allowing us to drill for our own CRUDE OIL. More supply against an increasing demand means LOWER PRICES. But as of today Obama has no plans on increasing domestic oil production on federally controlled lands or under federally controlled leases, thusly our own government is standing in the way of market driven pricing by limiting supply so as to raise the costs to the consumer.

So then is the PRICE RIGHT? No because our markets are being interfered with by our own government. Companies have to abide by ever-increasing government regulations which adds to their costs of doing business, and since ultimately it is the consumer who determines how much they are wiling to pay for a product, oil companies, as well as other energy producing companies, are forced to operate on tighter and tighter budgets and ever decreasing profit margins. Eventually they will simply shut-down operations in this country and move to an environment more business friendly.

Of course we could always run our vehicles on Coke.

To “reign over” something is to have absolute authority and control over it. God has ultimate rule over the earth, and he exercises his authority with loving care. But he chose to share authority with mankind.

In the beginning God created man and placed him in a garden and commanded him to subdue it, to tend to it, and procreate. God gave man the power to rule his domain, to work and provide, and to take care of his responsibilities. Man was to be responsible to tend the earth, subdue his environment, and be responsible for the outcome of his choices.

Failure on Adam‘s part to control his environment well resulted in the serpent being free to beguile Eve which cost him his home. God drove him from the garden. By not subduing the serpent Adam relinquished his authority over his own domain to Satan.

Each time Israel refused to do things God’s way they ended up in bondage and servitude, driven from their own country and forced to labor for another. Sin causes us to lose our ability to self-govern and places us into bondage to whatever we subject ourselves to. Failure to recognize God ordained authority places us under the failed leadership of fallen man.

Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. There can be no liberty without the Spirit of God. Without acknowledging God as our source and ultimate authority we can not retain self-rule. Our founders knew this and said as much.

John Adams

in a speech to the military in 1798 warned his fellow countrymen stating, “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” John Adams is a signer of the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and our second President.

Benjamin Rush, Signer of the Declaration of Independence said. ”[T]he only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be aid in religion. Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments.  Without religion, I believe that learning does real mischief to the morals and principles of mankind.”  

Noah Webster, author of the first American Speller and the first Dictionary said,  “[T]he Christian religion, in its purity, is the basis, or rather the source of all genuine freedom in government. . . . and I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable in which the principles of that religion have not a controlling influence.”

God created man to rule but  man relinquished his authority to  satan and now America by turning her back on God is relinquishing self-rule for subjugation. By refusing to take authority and  personal responsibility, we reject God’s  way and opt instead for an inferior way.

Here’s how you can help turn the national tide away from sin and toward God according to Charles Stanley in his book:   Turning the Tide: Real Hope, Real Change (Howard Books, 2011).

1. Pledge your allegiance to God first. Make your relationship with God your top priority in life, and develop a habit of seeking God’s guidance for your daily decisions
2. Pray for God’s guidance. Recognize that the problems facing our nation are all spiritual problems at their roots, even though on the surface they must just appear to be diplomatic, economic, etc.
3. Live faithfully so you can represent Jesus well and inspire people to grow closer to Him. The people you want to impact are watching you closely to see how you choose to live as a Christian, so do your best to be the kind of role model God wants you to be. (in other words practice what you preach)
4. Study the past to learn from it. Read about the history of the United States, including the story of how it was founded on Christian principles.
5. Deal with financial problems. Help with financial problems such as debt and unemployment by getting your own finances in order (paying off debt, sticking to a budget, giving generously, etc.) and encouraging others to do the same. Become an advocate for wise financial management in the government, and hold government leaders accountable for their financial decisions.
6. Help bear people’s burdens without making them dependent. Reach out to people in need with compassion and be willing to help them, but do so in ways that empower them to live independently rather than becoming dependent on you or others to meet all of their needs for them. Help people in need learn the skills and work ethic they need to support themselves once they get out of their current crisis.
7. Exercise your freedoms of religion, speech, and assembly. Use the freedoms you have as an American to make your voice heard, saying “no” to what is wrong and “yes” to what is right.
8. Choose faithful government leaders and hold them accountable. Get to know the views and lifestyles of people who are up for election to government offices. Look for objective and verifiable evidence that candidates possess good moral character. Communicate with government leaders in office, asking them questions and sharing your views on the legislation on which they’re working.
9. Stand against pride and embrace humility. Acknowledge God’s sovereignty in all situations, and pray for God’s will – not just your own – to be done in every national issue that concerns you.
10. Gain wisdom from God’s Word. Make a habit of reading, studying, and meditating on the Bible, letting God’s wisdom from it soak into your soul.
11. Pray for government leaders. Intercede in prayer regularly for the government leaders you know, praying specifically about the various issues they’re working on, and asking God to guide them to learn and do His will.
12. Keep going. Never give up your efforts to help turn the national tide from sin to God. Remember that God has promised to forgive people’s sin and heal the land, if people like you keep praying and seeking His will for the issues that face the nation.

There you have it twelve easy to do steps to turn our nation back to God. But it all starts with you. Are you willing to take up the cross and follow Him?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has announced that she intends to push for national childcare reform, supposedly modeled after Obamacare

Pelosi started by recounting her own experience saying,

“‘I could never get a babysitter — have five kids in six years and no one wants to come to your house. … And everywhere I go, women say the same thing’ about how hard it is to find the kind of reliable care that would make their family lives calmer and work lives more productive.”

And of course her solution is MORE Federal Government.  Personally I do not see why reform is needed just require children from BIRTH unto age 35 to go to a government-run institution (school) so that they can be instructed in the ways of liberalism. OH wait liberalism teaches that parents should KILL THEIR CHILDREN and not let them be born. Okay so if the abortion fails and they are actually born – no scratch  that – liberals have a policy for that too, they let them die. Oh never mind!

Seriously folks what has happened to our country, to our culture, and to our families? To think that a parent, who has children, would be looking for someone else to raise them baffles my mind.

Being childless myself I would welcome an opportunity to raise a child or two or three. I do understand how difficult it is to afford to live in our over taxed, liberal utopia that the progressives have handed us. We have to labor almost 40% of our time to pay for government, its agencies and personnel and to think that many of them actually earn more than those who actually pay their wages. Not only must we labor to pay their salaries and benefits we must also labor to pay for their fat retirement plans. Since we labor so hard for the government it leaves little time to actually work for our families and secure their futures.

Our heritage is given up to men of strange lands, our houses to those who are not our countrymen. We are children without fathers, our mothers are like widows. We give money for a drink of water, we get our wood for a price. Our attackers are on our necks: overcome with weariness, we have no rest. We have given our hands to the Egyptians and to the Assyrians so that we might have enough bread. Our fathers were sinners and are dead; and the weight of their evil-doing is on us. Servants are ruling over us, and there is no one to make us free from their hands. Lamentations 5:1-8 (BBE)

With the national debt consuming our entire gross domestic product our children will be lifelong indentured servants of the state. They will not be able to acquire for themselves anything since their entire existence will be consumed by the state.

For children are not obligated to save up for their parents, but parents for their children. 2 Corinthians 12:14 (HCSB)

Liberals hate conservatives because our solutions result in the person keeping more of their hard-earned money, as well as their property, and we promote allowing people to pursue their own happiness and not having the state steal their labor to give to someone who has not earned it. We believe parents should be responsible for raising their children and not the STATE, or like Hillary put it in her book, ‘It Takes a Village.’ No Pelosi and Clinton it takes a FAMILY.

Honor widows who have no families. The children or grandchildren of a widow must first learn to respect their own family by repaying their parents. This is pleasing in God’s sight. A widow who has no family has placed her confidence in God by praying and asking for his help night and day. But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead although she is still alive. Insist on these things so that widows will have good reputations. If anyone doesn’t take care of his own relatives, especially his immediate family, he has denied the Christian faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:3-8 (GW)

Liberal and progressive policies have assailed the family for decades and has led to the ruination of this great country. Parents are forced to choose between tending to their children or earning a living to pay the heavy burden of taxation placed upon them.  The huge welfare state has practically destroyed the black families in America. Irresponsible behavior is rewarded while those who try to do the right thing are penalized by having their wealth stolen to be given to those who have become wards of the state. The poor would be far better off if they were encouraged to excel and not be manipulated by unjust government programs and policies.

The heritage of the good man is handed down to his children’s children; and the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the upright man. There is much food in the ploughed land of the poor; but it is taken away by wrongdoing. Proverbs 13:22-23 (BBE)

Father’s provide for your children! Mothers nurture and love your children! Children respect and honor your parents! And government get out-of-the-way of STRONG PRODUCTIVE families. Your system has failed and continues to fail which is why you are always asking for more, and begin more programs. God’s program works fine, how about we get back to doing things HIS way?

these people are often the most affected by water-related health problems because they are “systematically excluded from [water] access by their poverty, by their limited legal rights or by public policies that limit access to the infrastructures that provide water for life and for livelihoods.”

Individual rights are the first thing to go in a totalitarian government. In order for a tyrannical government to control the lives of the people it must first deny them rights and private property protections. They need to make “classes” out of the people. Then  they are able to regulate the different classes and grant special privileges or deny access to basic human needs. With all their personal dignity stolen and being forced into government servitude the people lose their ability to care for themselves even so much as digging a well to provide fresh water.

In areas where water is available government policy makes it illegal for an individual to dig a well or to attempt to provide for him or herself. This is where BIG GOVERNMENT always takes the people. The privileged will always have because they steal from the people who are least able to defend themselves.

That is what makes America exceptional because our Founding Fathers knew the horrors of tyranny and set out to PROTECT the rights of every person by establishing that their individual rights are GRANTED by God and not handed out by governments.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported this week that virtually no progress has been made in the past year toward cutting duplicate government programs. Shocking, we know. Last February, government bean counters identified 81 areas in which redundant programs run by multiple agencies are wasting billions of dollars. Barack Obama and Congress have acted to eliminate just four in the past year while 60 other areas have undergone some undefined early steps, and 17 haven’t been acted upon at all. Last year, when talk about cutting spending was all the rage in Washington, Obama tried to convince the public that the government would save some real money by eliminating this waste. Such actions are welcome, but they wouldn’t have much of an impact on the overall deficit picture.

The GAO report certainly indicates that there was no impact at all because the president and Congress only paid lip service to the effort. The report’s findings identified some of the biggest culprits in budget redundancies, and none of them should come as a surprise. The Justice Department spent $30 billion in overlapping crime-prevention and victim-service grants since 2005. There are currently 23 agencies involved in 160 different programs to support homeowners and renters in some capacity. Fully two-thirds of all “green” building initiatives don’t have goals or performance measures, making them completely unaccountable to Congress or the public. Meanwhile, members of Congress are still drumming up ideas for new programs that duplicate existing ones.

The Cause

Knock, knock is anybody home? Is there any intelligent life in D.C.? Answer: No! There is never any effort or desire on the part of elected leaders to cut anything in Washington instead they keep finding new ways to rape the American economy with new taxes and regulations. As a nation we are bankrupt. Our Nation’s leaders have led us into bankruptcy morally, spiritually, financially, intellectually, and in leadership. Over several decades, the ever-increasing size and encroachment of the Federal government as come with a continued downward slide into the bankrupt state we now find ourselves.

Faced with such a bleak outlook what do our elected leaders choose to do? More of the same failed policies that have led us to where we are today. All the problems we face in America can be laid squarely at the feet of government. The more things the government gets involved in the worse those things get.

The solution

We fought a great war in this nation to FREE US from tyrannical government. We, as a nation, were established as free. We were all granted unalienable rights under our declaration of independence. We were all declared an independent and a free people. We do not need government granting rights or freedoms! We have been granted those by God. What we need is for the Government to be restrained by the ropes of the Constitution. The constitution was written to RESTRICT government intervention into the lives of a FREE PEOPLE not to interfere in every aspect and nature of the people.

The Constitution, as ratified by the states, is supposed to be the supreme law of the land. It restricts the government and it was amended to insure the rights of the individual would not be infringed upon. The Constitution established the government in subjection to the people and not to subject the people to the government.

“It is, Sir, the people’s government, made for the people, made by the people, and answerable to the people. The people of the United States have declared that this Constitution shall be the supreme law.”  Daniel Webster (1782-1852)

Since we have been granted freedom and are guaranteed those freedoms by God, why would we so willing allow ourselves to become enslaved again? We fought off King George with the help of King Jesus, for what another king? Really? Is that why our forefathers fought a revolution? I think not?

Election day is coming. No single candidate can, nor is able to undo years of abuse by government, however as a people we can hold each elected official accountable to us for the actions they take. we must choose wisely and with great care. The status quo is no longer good enough. We must demand Constitutional representation. We must insist that each leader upholds his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of these United States of America. We must, as a nation, return to a Constitutional republic or as a nation we are doomed.
