Obama Policy Causes Death of American Soldiers

Once again the Obama administration has shown whose side he is on in our fight against terrorism around the world. No it is not the side of America or the American soldier but rather the side of those who wish us harm. Current Rules of Engagement in Afghanistan have hampered our efforts to rout out Taliban insurgents bent on killing American soldiers.

The sooner we rid our country of Islamic sympathizers the better off we will be in the end. Is it too soon to call for IMPEACHMENT of this present administration?

the deaths of four U.S. Marines seemingly by the new rules of engagement (ROE) in Afghanistan. They took place on Tuesday in an ambush against Afghan forces and their U.S. trainers around the village of Ganjgal. There, journalist Jonathan S. Landay of McClatchey Newspapers lived through the deadly firefight to write the following:
“U.S. commanders, citing new rules to avoid civilian casualties, rejected repeated calls to unleash artillery rounds at attackers dug into the slopes and tree lines — despite being told repeatedly that they weren’t near the village.”

We’ve come a long way — too long — from George S. Patton’s attributed words as spoken by George C. Scott in the movie “Patton”: “I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor, dumb bastard die for his country.”

It is Time to BAIL out of GOVERNMENT

The out of control federal spending has spent us into bankruptcy. The lust for more and more power and control over the economy has left us with a bloated government operating without restraint or a moral compass. Our legislators have spent our children’s future and their children’s. IT IS TIME TO SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

By any rational means, we must consider the present condition of our Government’s financial situation. An honest look at those finances would have a prudent person conclude that our government is tacitly bankrupt. Our unfunded liabilities far exceed our assets. Adding up all unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and Government sponsored pension funds gives us a figure slightly in excess of  $100 TRILLION dollars.
Several other government programs over the years have proven to be equally underestimated in funding. Amtrak has a yearly budget shortfall of $1 billion dollars. The Postal Service, although deemed a private entity with its pension fund provided by the government, has a $3 billion dollar deficit. And the list goes on and on…
Our founders and many great leaders warned us of the dangers of unlimited government; let us be wise enough to heed their words now more than ever.

Is It Time for a House Cleaning?

We the people seem to say that it is high time for a house cleaning. Although a clear majority of the voting public would vote to replace the entire congress, in reality this hardly ever happens. This old bird has to wonder why this is so? Is it that these SEASONED politicians have so entrenched themselves in power it is virtually impossible to remove them? Well perhaps it is time we the people take back our government and restore the balance of power to the people. What say you?

Rasmussen Reports (August 30, 2009) – 57% Would Like to Replace Entire Congress:

59% now believe that members of Congress are overpaid. That’s up 10 percentage points from last October. Just 5% think their Congress member is paid too little. 30% think the pay is about right.

Just 14% give Congress good or excellent review for their overall performance, while only 16% believe it’s Very Likely that Congress will address the most important problems facing our nation. 75% say members of Congress are more interested in their own careers than they are in helping people.
Despite these reviews, more than 90% of Congress routinely gets reelected every two years.
When the Constitution was written, the nation’s founders expected that there would be a 50% turnover in the House of Representatives every election cycle.
In the 20th century, turnover began to decline. As power and prestige flowed to Washington during the New Deal era, fewer and fewer members of Congress wanted to leave.

20/20 Investigates Health Care Costs

Free is never free, and as long as someone else is paying the bill people have a tendency to overuse and abuse the program. Image if you will even more people getting someone else to pay their bills. Think about it the next time someone wants you to pay for someone else’s EXPENSES.
