Happy Birthday from Webshots!
For my birthday I received a free trip around the sun.
My birthday wish is for our current President and those
serving under him to have an encounter with God.
I pray that their lives will be changed by meeting the
real agent of hope and change, Jesus Christ!

Stay tuned for more adventures as we Journey Across the Sky together.

And a child shall lead them.. Isaiah 11:6

The bible speaks about a child leading around a wolf a leopard and a calf. How about an elephant and a donkey? Way to go Jonathan I have hope for a change in the future with young men like you waiting in the wings.

Here a 13 yr old boy, who turned 14 this month, speaks with greater wisdom and understanding than most in leadership today more advanced in years.

Jesus, when he was only 12, sat in the temple and taught the teachers, so perhaps Jonathan can teach us all something.

And for this reason Jonathan is this week’s Golden Eagle award winner.

Government Bails Out Tax Deliquent Companies

Rep. Lewis calls this a shameful disgrace, I simply say this is total incompetence. Do you not think the VERY FIRST QUESTION anyone should have asked these companies seeking a hand out was DO YOU OWE TAXES?

The blind are surely leading the blind and as we can see they all fall into a ditch. CAN WE STOP THE MADNESS NOW?

Talk about MARCH TO MADNESS!

Beam me up all intelligence is lost down here. Eagle Out!

WASHINGTON – At least 13 companies receiving billions of dollars in bailout money owe a total of more than $220 million in unpaid federal taxes, a key lawmaker said Thursday.

Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., chairman of a House subcommittee overseeing the federal bailout, said two companies owe more than $100 million apiece.

“This is shameful. It is a disgrace,” said Lewis. “We are going to get to the bottom of what is going on here.”

Banks and other companies receiving federal money were required to sign contracts stating they had no unpaid taxes, Lewis said. But he said the Treasury Department did not ask them to turn over their tax records.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is already under fire on Capitol Hill for not preventing $165 million in bonuses from being paid to employees at troubled insurance giant AIG.

To date, the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP, has paid out more than $300 billion to private companies, with billions more on the way.

Seven Myths of Green Jobs

  1. Myth: Everyone understands what a green job is.
Reality: No standard definition of a green job exists.
  2. Myth: Creating green jobs will boost productive employment.
Reality: Green jobs estimates include huge numbers of clerical, bureaucratic, and administrative positions that do not produce goods and services for consumption.
  3. Myth: Green jobs forecasts are reliable.
Reality: The green jobs studies made estimates using poor economic models based on dubious assumptions.
  4. Myth: Green jobs promote employment growth.
Reality: By promoting more jobs instead of more productivity, the green jobs described in the literature encourage low-paying jobs in less desirable conditions. Economic growth cannot be ordered by Congress or by the United Nations. Government interference – such as restricting successful technologies in favor of speculative technologies favored by special interests – will generate stagnation.
  5. Myth: The world economy can be remade by reducing trade and relying on local production and reduced consumption without dramatically decreasing our standard of living.
Reality: History shows that nations cannot produce everything their citizens need or desire. People and firms have talents that allow specialization that make goods and services ever more efficient and lower-cost, thereby enriching society.
  6. Myth: Government mandates are a substitute for free markets.
Reality: Companies react more swiftly and efficiently to the demands of their customers and markets, than to cumbersome government mandates.
  7. Myth: Imposing technological progress by regulation is desirable.
Reality: Some technologies preferred by the green jobs studies are not capable of efficiently reaching the scale necessary to meet today’s demands and could be counterproductive to environmental quality. source: The Heritage Foundation
