Downturn in economy sending illegals packing

Finally an immigration program that actually works. Take away the monetary incentives and the illegal activity reduces. Perhaps the white house could catch the hint?

SAN DIEGO – After struggling just to pay his $300 monthly rent and send money to his wife and two children back in Honduras, Dionisio Urbina has given up. The day laborer is saving for a one-way plane ticket home.
Thousands of Latin American immigrants both legal and illegal are going back home as the economic crisis in the U.S. causes jobs to dry up in the construction, landscaping and restaurant industries.
The flow of immigrants back across the border tends to be cyclical, with many people going back home for the Christmas holidays. But some authorities say they are seeing a bigger-than-usual reverse-immigration effect this year.
There are other signs the U.S. is no longer the magnet it was a few years ago, when the economy was thriving and the housing boom produced plenty of work:
With an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., the number returning home is relatively small.

Obama Gets Tough on Voter Fraud– Prosecutors

Obama’s get tough policy to fight voter fraud prosecutors is another fine example of his tough on crime stance. There is no crime too nefarious to not get protection from the Obama campaign. As long as you are a supporter of the ‘chosen one’ then you are a friend of this democrat. There are none too nefarious nor controversial that are not welcome in the Obama camp. All criminals are welcomed with open arms along with arsonists, domestic terrorist, and dictatorial tyrants.

Felons after all are being given the right to vote along with illegal immigrants and other law breakers. OBAMA the friend of the fiends and felons. A tireless opposer of anyone who attempts to fight crime.

ballot boothBarack Obama’s presidential campaign is pressuring the Department of Justice to put off a probe of voter registration fraud allegations leveled against the now infamous liberal group ACORN.

Lawyers for the Obama campaign have written U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey, asking him to delay any investigations of voter fraud until after the election. The Obama campaign’s general counsel, Robert Bauer, says the FBI should instead be investigating those who have lodged complaints of voter registration fraud against groups like ACORN.  Bauer contends that concerns about voter registration fraud are “manufactured allegations” being used to intimidate and disenfranchise low-income voters. (See earlier article on ACORN)
Former Oklahoma Republican Congressman Ernest Istook is a distinguished fellow for government relations at the Heritage Foundation. He says the Obama campaign is encouraging ACORN to continue its “nefarious” conduct.
